it was something that would help them in the future, he was not above kidnapping the bitch and using her for entertainment until he got to the main course.
His cell rang and Diavolo looked to see who it was before he answered. He did not need to listen to Roarke drone on and on about what he was planning. It was stupid and would never work. And this thing about the chick’s blood, Diavolo snorted, Roarke thought they only had to kill one of the women and then they were golden. What a joke, the man could not think beyond the fucking prophesy.
Diavolo, of course, knew for a fact that the women they were talking about might be special; however, none was as special as his Cat.
He thought of his servant, how she used to be so compliant to him, making sure he was taken care of. Then she left him, the bitch—she was going to pay for that .
He would start with this new arrival and then eliminate the two that had his mate. He would be with Cat— and soon .

    Chapter Nine

The meeting was finally over; they had so much to talk about. The conference call with the New Council lasted for hours, and then they had to figure out what the hell they were going to do.
Mia was set to arrive any time. She was the female that escaped from Roarke after being kidnapped. She was also a human. They had to keep her out of sight since she agreed to keep their secret from her father, the U.S. dignitary. Jax and Kira spoke of their shared dream; she was one of the special women. They had to keep her safe, and making sure she arrived to the compound was critical.
For now, they only told her she would replace a secretary that left; of course, they hoped she would find her mates and take her place on the Senate. The Rogues must not ever find out they had her.
Even with the seriousness of the meeting, she gazed at her men and could see the desire there. She felt her pussy weep every time they stared intently at her. It was like a seduction and at the worst time. Even the others seemed to notice.
“Bro, you are throwing off pheromones like no one’s business. We are trying to concentrated,” Tripp growled.
Marshall glowered at his brother and then turned his eyes back to Fredi, and damn she felt herself get wet again. His eyes changed to a deep golden brown, like his cat. She smiled and turned to look at Bane, who was staring just as intently. She saw him grin, and she saw the fangs peeking out, making Fredi shift in her chair and look around the room. They were beginning to effect the others; they were shifting and looking at each other.
“Tone it down!” Orfeo growled and looked at them.
Cat laughed and said, “They have not mated.”
Orfeo looked at them with a surprised look on his face. Bane held up his hand and said, “Not anyone's business right now.”
“It is if you have not fed,” Orfeo said.
“Shit,” Bane said and looked at his Sire. “I have been busy.”
Fredi looked at her mate, she felt guilty, she knew once a vampire found his or her mate, the vamp wouldn’t be able to feed from anyone else. Bane shook his head at her as if to leave the comment alone. Fredi was not that way.
“We may need to take a break,” Fredi said with a determined looked on her face.
“No we don’t,” Bane said tightly.
Fredi glared at her mate and made a noise of anger. Orfeo shrugged and continued the meeting. They would be talking about this later , Fredi thought, and noticed the air in the room lessened from sexual tension and replaced with anger, and smugness. Jax and Cat were smiling at her across the table.
    ***
She was going crazy since the meeting, and everything with the men this morning, she was wound tight as a cord. She needed something to take her mind off everything. Bane was driving her crazy because he refused to bite her. Marshall was standing up for him and Fredi was ready to kick someone’s ass .
Back in Milliken, when she was wound up the way she was now, she would go jogging. Feeling her feet
