                  Without thinking, I stoo d up and clutched Alex’s hand. I immediately dragged him onto the dance floor. There was no way I could dance alone with him, because I had no control over my body at that moment . I start ed looking for Sam and Derek. After a few minutes, I spot ted them. Letting go of Alex’s hand, I join ed Sam and Derek dancing. We form ed a small circl e on the dance floor. It remained that way for the rest of the night. I figured safe ty in numbers, because who knew what I would be willing to do with this man in the middle of a club. I clearly had no control when left alone with him.
                  A little after two in the morning, we manage d to leave the club. My feet were killing me and tha nks to the many shots, my head was fuzzy . In the limo, Sam was retelling a story about some of the girls and a pick u p line one used on Derek. We were all laughing hard and I fe lt tears running do wn my face from laughing . Alex reached over and wiped them from my checks. He i mmediately removed his hand once he was done. When we were getting out of the car, Derek started to speak, “ Well, Ms. Porter, I’ m happy to announce you still have it. Between you and Sam, we had every guy in the place jealous that you two were with us.”
                  I start ed to laugh, knowing he wa s blowing smoke up my ass. Alex then looked at me, “Seriously, I thought I was going to get into more th a n the one fight tonight.”
                  “ What, you got into a fight tonight? Are you crazy? Haven’t you learned anything in the last twelve years? Are we going to be looking at a lawsuit?” Without wait ing for a response, Sam continued , “ Shit, should I ca ll Rick in the morning?” Sam had a pissed off look on her face.
                  “ Actually, it was more Abby’s fight. I just picked the asshole up of f the floor and helped him up, while informing him it was best to stay clear of Abby the rest of the evening .” Alex then shot me a half smile.
                  All eyes now looked at me and I felt the wind being knocked o ut of me. “ What? It was nothing, really nothing.” Sam and Derek look ed at me as if they d idn ’t believe a word I was saying. “ Someone grabbed me so I kneed him. Alex was standing right there after it happened.
