towards her he smiled. “I didn’t think you’d be here so quick. Sorry, let me get dressed. I’ll be right out.”
    Don’t hurry on my account.
Glad he didn’t close the door, she sat down and watched out of the corner of her eye as his towel dropped and she was treated to one of the finest asses she’d ever seen.
I bet I could bounce a quarter on that. Shit, I’m getting as bad as my grandmother.
All too quickly he was dressed and in the living room sitting down next to her on the couch. “I’ve got some news about Jay Ellison.”
“Really? That was quick. What have you got?”
“We’ve found two properties that have the owners as Jay Ellison. One, we think, is the home he grew up in. The other is a condo in New York that was purchased by a Jay Ellison ten years ago.”
“That can’t be much, I’m sure there are thousands of Jay Ellison’s in the country.”
“True, but this one happens to have been left vacant and a property management company had been hired to oversee things for the past six years.”
“Ok, well, that could be a coincidence.”
“True, but then there’s this.” He showed her his phone. On it there was a directory of owners along with pictures.
“Well, hot damn. When do we leave?”
“How fast can you be packed?”
    “Give me half an hour.”
    “I’ll be waiting.”
Evie ran out of the cottage and up to her room. Since they were going to be leaving in two days from Boston to London she decided to pack enough clothes for a week in case they weren’t able to make it back here before their flight left.
Sitting down on the bed she took a look around her room that she’d stayed in since she was a child, somehow knowing that when she returned, things would be different.

– CHAPTER EIGHT –
On the sidewalk outside of Jeremy’s building Evie turned to Anthony. “Let me do the talking. I think it will work better if I take point on this one.”
“Is it even worth my energy to argue?”
“Nope, come on. Let’s see what we can find out.” She turned to make sure he was following her when she opened the door.
They crossed to the desk. Evie was thankful it was a middle aged man. She gave him a huge smile while she checked out his nametag. “Hi Cal, I was hoping you’d be able to help us.”
“Sure, what can I do for you?” He stood up a little straighter.
She could tell by the way he looked at her and Anthony that he was confused and recognized him. She wanted to draw his attention back to her and not have it focused on Anthony too long.
“I’m Mr. Ellison’s nurse. I’m not sure if you are aware of it, but he was in an accident and he is having a bit of a problem with his memory.”
“Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I was under the impression when you were here last week that you’d be around more. I was wondering what happened.”
Evie’s gut clutched as she thought of how close they were to finding him. Maybe he would even come home while they were there. “Lucky for him the accident wasn’t too bad except for the nasty bump on the head that has messed with his memory.”
“What can I help you with?”
“Well, it’s like this, he’s lost his keys and wallet, the only way we knew who he was or where he lived was from the registration on his car. So you see, he has no way to get into his condo. Is there any way you could let us in?” She thought about batting her eyelashes but decided that might be a bit overboard.
Cal rubbed his hand along the back of his neck. “Well, it’s kind of against company policy. I mean I do recognize him, so I guess it would be ok, right?” He looked at them with a hopeful expression like he was looking for validation in his thinking.
Evie rubbed the back of his hand that was resting on the desk. “Of course it would, and you would be helping him. We’re hoping that having him spend some time around his things will help trigger his memory.”
“Ok, but can we just keep this between us? I really need this
