could hardly concentrate. My breath was faltering as I worked myself as fast as I could. Cole’s hands gripping my ass while I worked us both over the edge. Exploding around him, I dug my nails into his shoulders. He quickly joined me in release, his fingers gripping my thighs as he came apart inside of me. His breath heavy against my chest, as he whispered, “Damn, babe, I could do that every hour of every day.”
Laughing softly, I kissed his perfect lips. “Oh, trust me, so could I.”
The next morning I wanted nothing more than to sleep in, since Cole and I had spent the majority of the evening doing anything other than sleeping, but that seemed to be impossible the third time my phone rang. Fumbling to find it on the nightstand, I answered it. “Hello,” I said in a sleepy voice?
“Reagan!” I heard shouting from the other end. I sat straight up, so excited to hear the voice on the other end.
“Addison, are you home? What in the heck are you doing up so early on a weekend?” I questioned, getting out of bed, pulling my robe on as I made my way to the kitchen, trying not to wake Cole.
“Yes, Case and I got in last night. I’m still on Fiji time, sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you, but now that you’re up why don’t you get dressed and come over? I’m dying to see my best friend.”
My heart began to speed up, realizing I’d hardly talked to Addison her entire honeymoon, and she had no idea how deep I was in with Cole. “I umm… well, I…” I nervously laughed into the phone.
“What is it, spit it out?” she barked.
“Well, I sort of can’t come over right now.”
“And why in the hell not?”
“Well, I’m out of town… well, not out of town, out of town, just over at the beach out of town.”
“Are you at the condo?” Addison’s parents had a penthouse condo on Pass-a-Grille beach that we always went to for relaxing weekends.
“Not exactly, I’m a little further south, Anna Maria Island. I’m just here for the weekend, it’s been crazy at work.”
“Perfect, Case and I’ll drive down and spend the day with you, I’ve missed you so much, and I can’t wait any longer to tell you all about the honeymoon.”
I chuckled as I reached for the orange juice in the refrigerator. “Umm, you may want to hold off on driving down, I’m not exactly by myself.”
She gasped into the phone and the next thing I heard was Addison yelling across the house to Case. “OMG babe, Reagan and Cole are at the beach house on Anna Maria Island, together!” I laughed at her excitement as she put the phone back up to her ear. “Reagan, you have to tell me everything. I need to get caught up, I feel like I’ve missed so much while we were away.”
“Oh you definitely have,” at that I heard a throat clear. I whipped around to see Cole standing in the doorway of the kitchen, leaning against the doorframe in nothing but a pair of low hanging sweats. “Umm, Addison, I have to get going, can I call you later?”
She squealed into the phone like a child, “Call me as soon as you get home!”
“Ok, love you, bye.” Hanging up the phone.
Cole walked over to me and kissed my lips, he tasted like mint from his toothpaste. “Good morning” he said, wrapping me into his arms.
“Mornin’, sleep well?”
“Never better,” he replied with a smile, as he pulled out a barstool and sat down. “How are the newlyweds?”
Smiling, I poured him a glass of orange juice. “Blissfully happy, they just got home last night, so they’re still on Fiji time. Of course, Addison wanted me to come over. When I told her I was at the beach, she insisted on coming out to see me and that’s when I had to break the news that I wasn’t alone.”
Cole laughed and ran his fingers through his tousled hair. Damn, he looked so good when he did that. “Do you want them to come out, so you can see her today?”
I set my glass on the counter in front of me and tilted my head to the side, looking at him with a
