he wake up yet?” Kane asked.
“Naw. I’ve been watching the monitors. He’s out. I’m surprised he isn’t dead. JB kept pumping him with tranquilizers.”
“This all could have gone wrong. Don’t do that shit again.”
“We were fine. We read four life signs in the transporter. They didn’t stand a chance.”
“It could’ve been a trap. You know the rules. We should’ve all been notified a hostage operation was going down. Anything could have happened.”
Then they would have been screwed.
“You’re right, I’m sorry. It won’t happen again.”
Kane disengaged the map. He didn’t worry about being caught. Ryan would keep them in uncharted territory until it was time to start the negotiations. He let his attention drift to the window on the front wall of the bridge.
    Beautiful.
The sky on Earth had been black sprinkled with bright-white stars. Never had he imagined how other galaxies would appear. The skies here were filled with a multitude of colors in varying shades. The planets whipping by them were orange, blue, purple and even gray.
“So, you plan on hanging out here for a while?” Ryan asked, breaking the silence. “’Cause if you are, I can make myself busy doing something else.”
“I stopped by your cabin on the way here. One of them is wearing Eli out.”
Ryan laughed. “Those women have been going nonstop ever since they came onboard.”
Kane turned hard to Ryan. “Those aren’t women. They’re aliens.”
It didn’t matter if the guys thought alien pussy looked, tasted and smelled the same as human pussy. They weren’t human. They would never be human. His crew may not mind fucking aliens, but never would he let them compare them to human women.
“Whatever, man. I’m going to get me some pussy, alien or not.”
    Ryan walked off the bridge.

Chapter Seven

Sa’Mya lay sprawled, spent as though she were a common concubine—and he had left her. She would never forgive him. Most importantly, she would never forgive herself for giving in so easily. Why had she?
There was something about his touch that she couldn’t resist, a touch that had ignited something deep inside. A fire she had not known burned there. Their energies had connected. She had been sure of it. He wanted her too. Why had he stopped…again?
Next time…no, there could never be a next time. She firmed her resolve. She would bide her time. She would play captive. Then she would pay these fools whatever they requested and return home as queen.
A slight smile crossed her lips. Her first command would be to exile her uncle, his followers and his son.
Her gaze settled on the crumpled, dirty gown on the floor next to her. She threw it toward the door. It stood as a reminder of how easily she had given in to a mere human male.
What else could she wear? She couldn’t walk around naked.
She pulled herself together. First thing she wanted to do? Rid her body of the captain’s grimy handprints. She found the shower and cleaned up as best she could. Moira had always helped her in the shower. She fumbled with the nobs and buttons at first. But if a human could do it, so could she.
With that task completed, she still had the problem of missing clothes. Without her trunks, she had nothing else to wear. Since her clothes weren’t an option, she settled for the captain’s.
She made her way to his closet. She slid on the first shirt she found hanging there. The aroma of human-male musk filled her nostrils. Kane.
The scent of him made her nipples instantly harden under the soft material. She couldn’t control the pleasure that pulsated over her senses as the shirt brushed across her erect nipples.
    She inhaled deeply… sex .
Her highly developed olfactory senses recognized the sweet smell that lingered faintly on the material. She wrinkled her nose. The scent didn’t belong to her. Whom did it belong to?
She pushed the jealous thought from her mind. She caught her reflection in the mirror attached to the
