friend, and poor Chloe was looking catatonic.
Nikki watched Rafe wink at Chloe and she heard a tiny mewl come out of her friend. Oh lordy, she was a goner. Nikki was beside herself, this was perfect. She loved when her girls were caught unawares by male attention.  They were both so beautiful and they deserved to be happy and in love.  Hottie firefighter was certainly stoking the flames with Miss Chloe.
By the time Rafe was done dancing, Chloe was vibrating in her seat.  The anxiety coming off of her was palpable.  As he exited the stage, Nikki heard Chloe let out the breath she was holding.
“Oh my sweet lord, was that guy working it for you?!” Nikki yelled.
“He totally was!” Izzy said bouncing in her seat.
“He was not, that’s crazy,” Chloe said.  “With all those skinny tramps in the front row, there is no way he was checking out the fluffy chick in the second row.” Chloe always resorted to self-bashing when she was embarrassed.
“If he wasn’t dancing for you, then why is he making his way over to our table?” Nikki said with a wicked grin.
Nikki watched as Rafe weaved his way through the crowd towards their table.  Bypassing her and Izzy, he walked straight to Chloe and introduced himself.  Awkwardness ensued, Nikki wished she could help her friend but it was too much fun to watch her pretty friend blush and gulp with this firefighter dazzling her.
Rafe was asking Chloe to go have a drink with him and before her friend could make up some excuse, Nikki jumped in.
“She’s all yours handsome,” Nikki said.  Her bestie was giving her the crazy wide eyes, but Nikki chose to ignore it.
Rafe grabbed Chloe’s hand and dragged her to the back of the bar.
“One down, two to go!” Nikki said to Izzy.
“Oh sure, I’m going to hook up with half the department tonight,” Izzy said with a hiccup.
Looked like Izzy was feeling the pre-drinks, the rounds at the bar, and the beer she was currently nursing.
“Izzy my girl, anything is possible.  We have the whole night ahead of us and I plan on enjoying the view,” Izzy said with a slug of her beer.
The current dancer was struggling to get out of the paramedic outfit he was wearing. The process was uncomfortable and even the drunk twig bitches in the front row had stopped screaming.
“Where is the giant hook when you need it?” Nikki murmured.
“I know, I think he is having a fit or something. Maybe one of the other paramedics should check on him,” Izzy said in horror.
“Alright, everyone, let’s give it up for Bob!” the announcer came on trying to help the poor man along.  “One more time for, Bob!”
The embarrassed and awkward man, finally managed to wobble off the stage, one leg still stuck in his pants.
“Alright everyone, I have a 3-alarm stud coming up!” the MC rang out.  “Next up we have Chase, Chase has been with District 17 for 3 years, and loves to hang out with his dog Max and spend time with his daughter Penny. But don’t worry ladies; he is single and ready to mingle!”  A chorus of groans followed that announcement.  Yeesh, this guy was the worst, Nikki thought.
A pounding techno song came on and the lights flashed up to a tall dark haired man wearing nothing but a pair of camo pants.  He looked like he had some Italian somewhere in his family tree.  He was built, strong broad shoulders, beautiful sculpted chest which came down to a tight narrow waist.  He had those V shaped muscles, that made girls do stupid things, arrowing straight into his pants.
“No way is he real,” Nikki whispered.  Apparently Izzy heard her anyway. “I don’t think he’s real, we must be hallucinating.”
“I think that one might actually be real Izzy my girl,” Nikki said.
Her eyes never leaving the man gyrating his hips to the front row. He did a turn and dropped to the stage and started doing push-up to the screams of the ladies in the audience.  Then because that move didn’t have every ovary in the
