still in the bathroom. Niall turned the bed down, lit a
few candles and shut the curtains, encasing the room in s emi-darkness. He’d made certain his security alarm was set,
but he opened his senses, making sure he couldn’t detect anything out of place.
    She opened the door,
the smell of orange blossoms and ginger became stronger as she walked out. Her
smile was hesita nt, but welcoming. Niall wanted to
close the distance between them.

    Alaina felt wonderful
after taking a shower, anticipation for Niall and what he did to her strummed
through her veins. She wondered if it was normal to want a man as much as she
wanted Niall, or maybe it had to do with him being a shifter? She shrugged the thought away
since none of the shifters from her home pack ever did anything for her. Most
of the men followed Roger Strop like he was the king, and she supposed he was,
since he was the alpha.
    One look at Niall
Malik and she was ready to hop onto any fla t surface
and offer herself to him, again and again. She wondered if there was a line of
women who suffered the same addiction, then thought it better to not think of
him and other women. Just thinking of him and some faceless woman had her
growling like s he’d seen the she wolves do back home.
    “Come here,” Niall
said with a tilt of his head.
    She didn’t even
hesitate as she eliminated the few feet separating them. The large red towel
she’d put on was knotted in the front, and was large enough it covered her from her chest to knees. The way Niall’s nostrils flared,
the heat in his blue eyes, was like she’d been standing before him stark naked.
    “Hi.” Alaina wished
she knew something sexier to say.
    His lips tilted up.
“You’re so fucking gorgeous. Your scent make s me want
to lick you from head to toe.”
    Goddess, how was she
supposed to respond when he said things like that? She watched his nostrils
flare, knowing he could smell her arousal. Heck, she wasn’t a shifter and she
swore she could scent it herself.
Alaina pressed up on her tiptoes, his neck the closest thing she
could reach, and licked a long line up to his earlobe. “You taste good, too.”
    He was dressed in a
pair of loose sweats, so when he lifted her by the waist, she wrapped her legs
around his bare midr iff. The instant her core met his
hard stomach, they both groaned.
    Alaina swore she could
come if he would only allow her to move a slight fraction, but his tight hold
kept her still. “Please, Niall.”
    “Oh, I’ll please you,
but not yet. This time we’re goin g to make it to bed,
and I’m going to make up to you for the first time.”
    “What was wrong with
the first time?” She looked into his eyes.
“It was your first time. It shouldn’t have been in the
woods up against a tree, for the love of all,” he growled.
She laughed at his outraged look. Heat from his body making her own temperature rise. He was holding her lower half against
him, and began walking toward the bed. Alaina stared at his lips. Really, men
shouldn’t have such full lips.
    “You didn’t hear me
complai ning, did you?” Smiling, she did what she’d
fantasized about. She captured his full bottom lip between hers and sucked. The
taste of mint exploded on her tongue.
    Niall’s gaze turned
fierce, and then she felt a cold breeze on her back. She didn’t have long to ponder why before he was laying her down in the middle
of the bed, taking over the playful kiss, turning it into a seduction of her
senses.
    The flicker of several
candle lights illuminated the room, giving it a sense of romance, along with
the red sheets and the scents from the candles.
    A rumble against her
chest had her toes curling.
    He lifted her hands
above her head, holding them in one hand. “Keep your hands up here. I’m going
to do right by you this time.”
    She couldn’t look away
from him, nor c ould she hold still. “I want to touch
you too.”
    “Not yet. I need you
to let me take care of you first.
