asked.
    “You.”
    “Who controls this body?”
    “You.”
    “Good.”
He fucked her with a passion that surprised him. There was no chance of him ever letting her go. He knew it. Now, he just needed to make Alexa see it.
    ****
    One week later
“What is this?” Alexa asked, staring at the two trays of food. Laura was watching them, and Corey simply shrugged.
“It’s food. You know, lunchtime, food. I figured you’d prefer to eat good food instead of those sandwiches you make.”
She had told him about her current hatred of paste sandwiches. Most of her time was spent at the club with him so that her lunch had gone from being elaborate salads or pastas, to paste sandwiches. It was the only thing she could make within the minutes she was given. She was sleep deprived, hungry, and the scent of that food, whatever it was, made her mouth water.
“Go, have some lunch. You and I both know you couldn’t stand another paste sandwich,” Laura said, giving her a smile.
    “Okay, if you’re sure.”
“I can handle the library. Go, have lunch, and some fun.”
Some fun was what she’d been having with Corey. She was tired, exhausted, and the thought of going to the club right now, it didn’t appeal to her.
She rounded the counter and followed Corey out of the library. They walked a few feet until they came to a park. Walking inside with him, she stared down at where he took her hand.
So it wasn’t just something he did within the club.
    “It’s a beautiful day.”
Alexa looked up. It was a hot day, and she’d decided on wearing a dress with thin straps. She didn’t even need a cardigan or anything like that, it was so warm. “It is.”
They had to turn on the air conditioning in the library as otherwise they’d have been melting into a puddle.
He sat down on a bench, and she sat beside him.
    “Here you go,” he said.
She took the food and lifted the lid, scenting the jerk chicken. “Wow, you remembered?”
    “Of course.”
They had gotten into a conversation at the club about their favorite food. She loved jerk chicken but hadn’t been able to replicate the recipe.
He handed her a fork, and she took a bite, loving it.
    “This is lovely.”
“I was thinking about tonight,” he said.
She winced. “Erm, about that. I’m not going to make it to the club tonight. I’m really tired, and I can’t spend another late night and early morning.”
“I picked up a movie, and was wondering if I supplied the food, if you wanted to watch a movie with me?” he asked. “I’ll come to your place. No sex, no expectations, and I’ll even leave at the end of the night so you don’t have to worry about the time.”
    “You want to do that?”
    “Yes.”
Alexa stared down at the food, biting her lip, debating if she should allow it. If she let him get too close, she was at risk of falling for him, and with Corey, she knew it was a real chance. He called to her in ways she didn’t understand. The thought of a movie, some company, and curling up on the sofa was just too damn good to resist.
“I’d like that. Be warned. I’ll be in my slob clothes though. I’m not going to try to look sexy.”
She’d do her hair, and at least make an effort, but it would be slob effort.
Corey laughed. “Then consider it a non-date. I’ll even wear my slob clothes. Be warned, I may even belch.”
    “I won’t judge.”
They sat in the park for lunch, and Alexa found at the end of their lunch, she didn’t want it to end. It was little moments like this that made it hard for her to try to keep him away.
    ****
Corey found her idea of slob clothes cute. Alexa wore a pair of really baggy sweat pants and a crop top. The air conditioning was on inside the apartment, and she had plates on the coffee table in front of the television. He loved her apartment. There was a lot of color, and pictures of Becca.
“Where is Becca?” he asked, turning around to find her walking back into the sitting room.
    “She goes away
