baby, sorry I’m late,” Tuesday says loud enough that the people around us can hear as she kisses my cheek. I’m trying to pay attention to what she is saying, I really am, but her hands are on my thighs; her stomach against the bulge in my jeans that I pray doesn’t get any bigger. The warmth of her hands seeps through my jeans and it takes everything in me not to pull her closer to me.
“Excuse me!” Hailey yanks Tuesday’s shoulder back. “Did you not see that I was talking to him?”
Tuesday’s eyes widen and she clamps her jaw shut. She doesn’t like to be touched unless she says it’s alright and I feel her body tense against mine. “Oh, I’m sorry. I guess I missed you there,” she forces a sweet smile as she talks.
“You practically sat on my lap! How the hell do you miss that?”
“Sorry…,” Tuesday shrugs and turns back to me.
“I didn’t dismiss you, bitch,” Hailey snarls.
“Did she just call me a bitch,” she asks and I respond with a small nod. Spinning back around to face her she leans in. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me. You just slid your skanky ass between me and my man and you didn't think I was going to do anything about it.”
“Your man?” Tuesday asks calmly and Hailey nods with a snide look on her face. “Funny story, Hailey… It is Hailey, right?” She looks back at me for approval and I nod.
“How do you know my name?”
“You see, Hailey,” Tuesday says, ignoring the question, “it’s been almost two years since he’s been your man. I'd appreciate it if you would leave me and my fiancé to our night. ‘Kay? Thanks.” Hailey’s eyes widen as Tuesday leans back into me.
Uh... Fiancé? Say what now ?
She leans so her head rests in the crook of my neck and I slowly slide my hands so they rest on her hips, watching her out of the corner of my eyes in case she decides she doesn't want to play this game anymore. She slides her hands over mine, holding them there as the corner of her mouth tips up and she stares at Hailey.
“Bull shit,” Hailey screeches over the music, “he’d never marry someone like you. Hell, he said he’d never get married at all.”
Tuesday laughs and shrugs, “Evidently he just didn't want to marry you.” She pulls her left hand off mine and turns it towards Hailey. Where the hell did she come up with an engagement ring and why was she wearing it? Hailey’s eyes get even wider and they moved back and forth between us.

    Tuesday

Oh God. The shit I do for Evan. First she touched me. Then she called me a bitch... Seriously, did she not see that he wasn't interested in her?
Her jaw drops when she sees the ring on my finger and I swear I feel Evan’s breath catch in his chest. Big shocker there; Evan has a fear of commitment. Like I’ve told Abby, I’m pretty sure he changes his women more than his clothing. Which is why I shouldn’t be worried about anything.
“So you’re the bitch that stole my man…”
I shoot forward and I pin her with a glare that’s been known to scare even some of the toughest of guys. “You might want to change your tone and walk away.”
She shrinks back a bit and shakes her head. “I just don’t believe it. Her? Seriously, Evan… You could do so much better.”
“Yeah,” he sighs behind me, “I don’t think that’s possible.”
She scoffs and stares at us. I do something that surprises all three of us. I drop my head back to his shoulder and my hand rounds the back of his neck, pulling his face down to me. My lips hit his and he stiffens for a second before letting go.
Opening his mouth, I can feel the heat of his breath against my lips before he coaxes my lips open, his tongue meeting mine gently. He slides his hand up my body until it reaches my face and his fingers knit themselves through my hair, his thumb rests against my jaw, drawing back and forth.
Holy shit, I’m kissing Evan again. What the hell am I doing? I don’t have the slightest clue but I can’t seem
