he wasn’t.”
    Ain’t that the truth .
Bo glared at her. “So not funny.”
Did she know he was really in there? Could she feel him watching her, wanting her?
Bo lowered him to her palm, but didn’t let go. “You and your creatures.”
She leaned forward and kissed the bump on his head, her breast rubbing across Oscar. “But you love me anyway.”
And then a loud crack filled the air. Light surrounded him and he was falling.
As if being sucked out of the stone, Oscar sprang from his prison and landed on the floor on hands and knees. Taking a deep, refreshing breath, he stood and stretched his arms high into the air in all his naked glory. Being confined to such a small space had left him stiff, and not in a good way.
Delayna gasped, glancing from him to the broken bits of stone on the carpet.
“What the hell?” Bo grabbed the bed sheet and draped it over his wife, knocking the gargoyle remnants in her hand onto the carpet. “Who the fuck are you, and how did you get here?”
He stumbled back. “I’m Oscar and I think, somehow, you both set me free.” The evil sorceress, Catalis, hadn’t bothered to explain how the curse worked, tossing him into this world and the stone figure before he’d had the chance to ask.
Delayna giggled as she eyed him from head to toe, her gaze sending electric sparks along his spine.
He winked at her. Now that he could move, he longed even more to touch every graceful curve.
Bo grabbed a phone. “I’m calling the cops.”
“No,” Oscar said as Delayna wrestled for the device. “Please, give me a chance to explain.” Bringing law enforcement into the situation would find him hauled off to jail as an intruder. He would never cause them any harm, his simple needs being pleasure and a way home.
    “Yes, Bo, let him explain.”
When she returned her gaze to him, he noticed her resemblance to his Lianna on Wigbay. He’d never seen Delayna so close, on the same scale. The women shared the same dark, captivating eyes and full, kissable lips. Their breasts perky, plump, and a perfect fit for his large hands. Is that why Catalis had sent him there—to torture him with a woman who looked like his female mate? Bo reminded him of Lewis a bit, too. His heart and cock pulsed, and he yearned for his lovers and the couple before him.
“Fine. Explain to me why we have a strange man in our bedroom, with a hard-on that freaks me out since he’s staring at me .” Bo snatched a pillow and held it in front of him, blocking Oscar’s view. Even though Bo seemed uncomfortable with attention from another man, his dick seemed to have a mind of its own. Oscar could work with basic desire. It made him ache to experience this couple even more.
“I’m from Wigbay,” he stated. “I’m not sure how to explain where that is except to say, it’s in another dimension. I was sent here, trapped as a spirit inside your gargoyle statues when I refused to take on another female lover.”
On the day he’d been sucked away from his life partners, Catalis had arrived at his shared home, shouting curses and calling him out for not taking her as his mate. Against their advice, he left Lianna and Lewis on the love platform, anxious to dispose of their unwelcome visitor. But she had other ideas.
When he met her outdoors, she waved her arms in wide circles, uttering an ancient chant. Her malicious words drew the air around them into a swirling mass. Without the combined power of his mates, he was weak to stop her. Catalis used an energy field to bind him then tossed him into the center of the twister. Lianna and Lewis raced out the door and launched themselves onto the sorceress, but they were too late.
    “You were in our statues?”
Oscar blinked hard, returning his attention to his hosts.
Bo’s eyes grew wide, his face a mess of contradictory emotions.
    “Another lover?” Delayna asked.
“I’ve been able to move amongst the gargoyles you own for the past year. It feels like forever since
