highway. “One of the guys, Josh, he’s so sexy, I swear even you are going to melt when you see him.” She gushed on about how magnificent this ‘Josh’ guy was. “I definitely wouldn’t mind him throwing me up against a wall.”
I laughed. “Jeeze, way to be subtle. No wonder you always wear these tiny ass skirts, now I get it.”
“Hey!” She scrunched her face up at me in pretend irritation then nodded as she faced back toward the road. “Trust me. When you see this guy, you’re going to be thinking the same exact thing.”
I smiled. “I’ve got some pretty high expectations now. I hope he can live up to them.”

CHAPTER 3
CORY
“Hey, bro,” Chad walked up and we bumped fists. “Looked like you had a good time last night. I saw you leaving with that brunette dime piece.” He gave me a nod of approval.
I couldn’t contain the cocky smile that appeared on my face. “Sure as fuck did. Had three great times, in fact.”
Chad reached out for another fist bump. “Props, dude, props.” He walked off toward the registration booth.
I stepped up into the back of the rig and unhooked my bike, throwing the tie-downs off to the side. I gripped the handlebars and guided my motorcycle backwards down the ramp and out of the trailer. The stand was already waiting next to the line of bikes. I wheeled mine over and heaved it up onto the aluminum stand.
Mike, our manager approached with his clipboard in hand. “Hey, Steele, time for the track walk.” He glanced down at the schedule on his board. “You guys are up in forty-five minutes.”
“All right, boss, I’ll head over there right now.”
There were already fans sitting in the grandstands as I entered the stadium. I saw Josh, The Commander, standing at the base of a kicker. He’d been in the freestyle moto game longer than any of us, and he knew his shit. His experience and skills had earned him the nickname ‘Commander’.
I gave him a head nod as I approached. “How’s it goin’, Commander?”
He looked up and returned my nod. “Steele, good, bro. The track looks all set.” We stood in silence scoping out the various jumps for a few minutes. Josh gave me a slight nod as he spun around and walked off. I walked the track on my own for a few more minutes and headed back to the rig to get ready. The course looked pretty sick, I was going to be able to stick with my planned lineup.

CHAPTER 4
SAM
After almost an hour on the road, Jessie finally pulled off and turned into a huge parking lot. The sign at the entrance read ‘Fairground Parking Only’. She whipped her giant truck around into a tiny spot near the front of the lot and threw it into park.
    “We’re here!” She squealed enthusiastically.
Through the windshield, I could see a chain link fence surrounding a ton of trucks with trailers. Each of the large trailers seemed to don a different colorful logo. Beyond all of the vehicles there was a stadium surrounded by sections of grandstands. Hundreds of people lined the metal benches but I couldn’t see what they were all watching.
I glanced over at Jessie. She was applying a fresh layer of lip gloss and ensuring her teased hair was still perfect in the rearview mirror. Satisfied with her appearance, which was flawless, as usual, she turned to me.  “Let’s go meet our future boyfriends!”
“You mean your future boyfriends,” I corrected her.
Jess shook her head at me with her usual air of confidence. “Nope, I mean ours .”
I pulled the handle and pushed the door open with my boot before dropping down onto the pavement with a thud. I swear, no matter how many times I’d been in Jessie’s truck, I couldn’t figure out how to dismount from the damn thing with any amount of grace. I slammed the door shut and walked around the front. We were only two steps away from the parking spot when a girl, dressed in the smallest plaid ‘skirt’, if you could even call it that, and a black bikini top, came up behind us and
