    “Hey sweetie, how are you doing?”
    “I’m fine. I need to go out. Will I be able to borrow a car? I need to go and get my things from the van and I need food. There’s not exactly much to eat in this house.” I shot a smile at Flame, trying to hide my real intentions from her.
    “Are you sure that’s all you’re going to be doing?” She asked and when I met her eyes, I could see that knowing look in hers.
    “That’s it, I swear. I…I...you don’t have to worry about me and Adrian. I know he’s not interested. He made that perfectly clear tonight. He can be so nice but so mean too.”
    “He’s vampire Faith, moody and bad tempered come with the territory, plus he’s always been the dark and mysterious one. I don’t know what’s going on with him. No one does but sweetie, don’t fall for him. You need a nice young man who can give you the life you deserve. Adrian’s not for you. I don’t want to hurt you but do you really want to chase after a man who keeps pushing you away? Has he tried to have sex with you? Has he kissed you or more importantly, has he fed from you?”
    “No.” I said quietly. “He hasn’t but you don’t understand.” I raised my eyes to Flame’s. “I keep having visions with him in them and I’m in them. The one I had the other night we were having…” I stopped abruptly, colour flooding my cheeks.
    “Sex, is that what you were going to say. You’re having sex with him in your visions? What else do you see in these visions of yours?”
    “Nothing Flame; I don’t normally talk about my visions with anyone but the person in them. I’ve had so many with Adrian and he’s always holding me and kissing me. He tells me he loves me.”
    “Oh sweetie, are you sure it’s not just your subconscious desperately wanting someone to love you? I know you lost your mum when you were young and you grew up in foster homes. You never had anyone to really love you since your mother died. It’s wonderful to have found you, to have a sister and Fabian’s happy to give you a home here but don’t go filling your head with romantic visions of Adrian.     “I’m tired of my fucking virginity.” I swore angrily. Swearing wasn’t something I normally did much of, but I was getting tired of everyone including Adrian trying to deter me from getting involved with him. I was tired of my virginity being the stumbling block for him perhaps touching me sexually.
    “I’m sorry Flame. I’m hungry; I really need to go out. Can I take one of the cars?”
    “Yes, but I wish you’d talk to me. I suspect there’s a lot more going on inside that pretty head of yours. We’ll talk again soon. Damien and I need to go out to hunt.” She pulled me into her arms and I noticed she smelled good too. It had to be a vampire thing. “Don’t do anything silly now will you?”
    I shook my head, forcing myself to meet her eyes when she pulled back to look at me. “I won’t, I just want to get my things and food. I need to make some money soon so I can buy clothes.
