astonished.
“She thinks we don’t want her?” Ethan asked incredulously.
“How the fuck did she get that from us saying we weren’t going to fuck her right away?” Jordon posed.
Adam stood and started getting dressed, not exactly sure how they were going to deal with this little outburst.
Amy was going to have to realize that they wanted her, no matter what had happened in her past. That bastard, Jasper, had a lot to answer for, and the sooner he was back behind bars, the better. Only this time, they were going to make sure it was for a very, very long time.
The bathroom door flung open, and a fully dressed, really pissed off little sub came out. Adam watched as she paced back and forth between the dresser and the door, looking as if she wasn’t quite sure what she was going to do.
“Amy, you need to settle down for a minute and listen to us.” Adam was trying to keep his voice calm so that he could get her to let go of some of her anger.
“You want me to settle down…well, Master Adam,” she said, her voice dripping in sarcasm. “I don’t think I want to settle down. You three have taken over my life for the last few days. You told me to trust you and that, no matter what, your feelings for me would never change. But the minute I start to open up and tell you about what that fucking bastard did to me, you all decide that I’m not worth it.”
She had a full head of steam going, and Adam could see that there was no way they were going to be able to get through to her until she was able to get it all out, so he sat down on the bed and just let her go.
“Well, you wanted to know all the gory details of my relationship with Jasper, so now you just sit there and listen and don’t say a fucking word until I’m finished. Then you’re going to drive me back to my apartment so I can pick up the pieces of my life and figure out how the hell I’m going to deal with that prick.”
Jordon was about to say something when Adam placed a hand on his shoulder and just shook his head at him.
“I first met Jasper through my mom. Can you believe that? My mother, who was so worried about being socially accepted that she blamed me for Jasper’s beatings. She said that if I would just listen to him and do what I was told, he wouldn’t hit me.” Shaking her head she continued pacing.
“He was such a charmer when I first met him. He was sweet. He took me to dinner at nice restaurants and to the city to see plays. He did all the things you would expect a man who loved you would do for you. I was a virgin when I met him, and he knew it, so he didn’t pressure me for sex right away. But after a few months, we ended up at his apartment one night and, well, I wasn’t a virgin anymore.” Stopping mid stride, she looked at them and said, “He didn’t take me gently either, and that was the night he gave me my introduction to nipple clamps as well.”
Adam could see Ethan’s fisted hands and knew that his brother was fighting everything in him not to take her into his arms to soothe away the pain.
“After he was finished, he told me that, from then on, I was his, that I would do what he wanted, when he wanted, and that I would learn how to please him. The beating started that very same night when he got pissed at me because I didn’t make his drink the way he liked it. Over the next, almost two years, he beat me down so that I had no self-esteem. When I turned to my mother for help, well, I already told you what she said to me.
“When I went to the sheriff, thinking he could help, he basically told me the same thing. Time and time again, I tried to get help, but everywhere I turned there was someone who was a friend of Jasper’s daddy, or they were just too afraid to help. So I lived with it, knowing that, eventually, Jasper would kill me. It wasn’t until Ryder and his brothers found out what was going on that anything was done about it. The minute they found out what Jasper had been doing, they helped me
