this moment in the same way he weakened me.
For as many moments as we can bear, we take our pleasure, both of us pulsing, and exposed.my
Gasping and naked, Luke and I meet our climaxes together, basking in the tenderness from our day and our life of scars. For the moment, he and I are physically and emotionally spent in every way, both lost in the bliss of our passion.
We start to collapse, both of us completely spent from our pleasure. Luke catches me before I crash into the bed. Strong arms hold onto me, pulling me into him from behind. He's still inside me, prompting me to ride out the last waves of bliss. Slowly, I'm carried off along the sea of ecstasy as my eyes drift closed.

Chapter 10

I try to maneuver the phone between my cheek and shoulder as I type away on my computer, listening to my mother talk to me on the other end of the phone. Thankfully, I had the foresight to be completely dressed for my date tonight before calling my mother. Otherwise, I would have been cutting it close on time.
“You sound so happy, sweetie,” Mom says cheerfully.
“I am, Mama,” I smile, “I think he and I might be getting serious.”
“Don’t rush too quickly. I don’t need to be a grandma just yet.”
I giggle, “Don’t worry about that. Won’t be happening anytime soon.”
I hear my stepfather on the other end of the line, muttering something to my mom. “No, she’s not pregnant, dear,” Mom mutters to him, “She just really likes a boy at school.”
“‘A boy at school’ sounds so high school, Mom,” I sigh.
My mom doesn’t hear me, or ignores me, while my stepdad continues to talk to her. I tap my foot, wondering if I should hang up so that the two of them can finish their conversation.
“Hey Mom, I need to get to work on this article,” I start.
“Oh, right! I’m so sorry, love. Vince is just wondering when we’ll get to meet Luke.”
“Tell Dad that Luke loves golf and is interested in yachts and that I plan on all of y’all meeting soon, hopefully. Maybe during break?”
“We could probably make a trip up to see you during break. Now, speaking of dads…” Mom’s voice trails off.
Immediately I know that we’re no longer talking about Vince, my stepdad. “Yes?” I draw in a deep breath, expecting the worse.
“Your dad somehow found mine and Vincent’s phone number. He’s called several times wanting to know what your address is. I haven’t answered the phone, I’ve just let it go to voicemail. I just wanted you to know that he’s up to something again.”
A chill runs through my spine. It was one thing for my dad to find my cell number, but to make the effort to chase down Mom’s home number was something else. Mom and Vince both took lots of precautions to keep their numbers and residence fairly guarded, due to stalking issues they’ve had with my father in the past. But this, this had to mean that someone gave him our numbers. My thoughts drift off to Derrick. He’s the only one who would have known how to reach my father, while also having everyone’s phone numbers
“Natasha?” My mom’s voice breaks my trance.
“Yeah, Mama, I’m here. He called me, too.”
“He did?! Natasha! What did he want?” I can hear the concern laced through her voice.
“Forgiveness, to meet up, the usual,” I mutter, my mind still sorting through thoughts of Derrick and if he could have had anything to do with it, “Don’t worry, I let it go to voicemail too.”
“Okay… well let’s hope it’s nothing. Stay safe, baby girl. Stay with Luke if you have to.”
I frown, it’s not like my mom to recommend staying with a guy. She would have to be really worried to say something like that, which makes me even more furious at Dad, and whoever gave him Mom’s number.
I swear to God, Derrick better not be up to something.
“I will, Mama. He and I are going out tonight, actually. He’s picking me up here in a
