One Toe Out (A Complicated Love Story)
sister-in-law, her ex-husband’s sister, but they had always gotten along. She used to live in New York and Simone was sure that she’d show her around. “Mom may I talk to you?”
Lillian looked at her concerned. “Of course, come on, let’s sit on the deck. Give me one minute.” Her mother reached into the refrigerator for a pitcher of sweet tea.
“ I’ll get the glasses,” Simone offered and went over to the cabinets. Gone were the set of Kmart glasses, instead Lillian had replaced them with beautifully crystal cut glasses.
“ Okay what’s wrong?” Lillian asked as soon as they got settled on the deck.
Simone took a deep breath. “I want to get to know Kirk a little better,” she confessed.
    “ How much better?”
“ I’m attracted to him, and you know…” her voice drifted off, letting her mom fill in the blank.
Instead of answering immediately, Lillian looked out over her backyard, this was one of her favorite places, it was so tranquil. She loved to sit out at night drinking wine while reading. At her old house, she had the front porch to sit on, but between the nosy neighbors, the cars zooming up and down the street and noisy teenagers, there was no privacy. Out here on her deck, Lillian found that she could think and finally confront her past, because her future looked so bright.
    “ Does J.T. know?”
“ No! And if he does, he’ll kill me. Kirk is his good friend. He told me not to even consider it.”
Lillian took a sip of her tea before answering. “Well, maybe you shouldn’t see him,” she said carefully.
“ But I want to,” Simone protested. “I think there’s potential for something life lasting.”
“ I told you that this might happen.”
“ I know, you did. But I had no idea that I’ll meet Kirk. I never met a man like him before. He’s amazing Mom,” Simone said softly.
“ I think you should forget about him,” she said, her voice tight with an unidentifiable emotion.
Simone shook her head. “I can’t do that!”
“ Do you want to lose everything?” she snapped.
“ But now I want more.” Simone stared at her mother. Who is this day, she wondered.
“ So you’re willing to mess everything up, because you’re in love?” Lillian scoffed. “Think very hard about what you’re doing.”
On the way home, Simone thought long and hard about her situation. As soon as she made up her mind, she made a phone call.
“ Hey, are you home? Alone? I’ll be right over.” She clicked off and made a U-turn. Thirty minutes later she was at her destination. She strolled up to the front door. “Hi Kirk.”

Chapter 12

She calmly walked in and as soon as Kirk closed the door she jumped into his arms, her legs circling his waist. “I’ve been wanting to do this ever since I saw you. God you’re hot!” She pressed her lips to his, kissing him hard, almost brutally.
Kirk cupped her bottom and slowly walked to the living room where he dropped her on the couch. He lovingly undressed her. Then he pulled off his clothes.
Simone stroked his smooth muscled chest. Kirk stood and he was about to climb on top of her when she told him to stop, she wanted to enjoy his body. She propped herself up on one elbow and her eyes feasted on his sexiness.
He was darker than she’d expected, even though he was a blond, he had olive coloring and his skin looked as though it was sprinkled with just a hint of honey.
A grin spread over her face as she admired him. Her gaze started at his blue eyes, his high cheekbones, his full lips, his broad shoulders, then his muscled chest. There was a faint line of blond hair on his stomach travelling south. She reached out and slowly traced her finger over the line of hair, she paused, the trail ended at the base of his dick. Simone grabbed it, and was shocked then pleased when her hand could barely wrap around it. He was neatly shaved and trimmed, exposing his balls. She eased forward and her lips were inches away from his tip, when he
