to help her up. “Jess, stop! She’s fucking pregnant. Damn, stop!” I held Tiffany up, and made our way into the house.
“That fuckin’ bitch,” I heard Tiffany mumble, between her soft cries. I turned around, taking one last look at Monique.
“You know I’ll always love you Monique, and I’m sorry this had to happen. I’ll nev-”
“Save it Trey, we’re done. I never want to see you again, you’re dead to me,” she said sternly, and got inside Jess’s car.
That was it. We were done. Over. And there was nothing I could do about it. I never thought we would end like this. I never thought we would ever end. My baby, my boo, my woman. Over.
Tiffany had already made her way inside, while I stayed outside still reminiscing about Monique.
My baby. Gone out of my life.
I couldn’t just let things lie like this.

“Jess! Open up! I know she’s in there!”
This silly boy. He really must have been dumb or just plain stupid to think that I would let him see Monique after what he had done. He didn’t deserve to be with a wonderful woman like her. He had his chance and blew it, so now he needs to leave her alone. She’s done with him. She’s already had one ex-boyfriend cheat on her before and to experience another one, was pure torture for her.
“Jess! OPEN this door, right now!” Tremaine continued to pound loudly on my apartment door, clearly not caring that I was trying to take a long needed nap. I don’t understand why he was even bothering to come over here, like he cares. He’s got a baby on the way with Tiffany. He should be with her. I mean, he cheated with her, breaking Monique’s heart. Lord knows I hate him so much! I slowly got up from my sofa and went to open the door.
“Jess op-” He quickly took a step back, stopping his shouts and pounding on my door.
“What?!” I said as I swung the door open, annoyed.
“I need to see Monique,” he began gently, trying to compose himself and taking a peek inside.
“She’s not here,” I said sternly, looking at him up and down rudely.
“Jess, don’t lie to me.” He stared deeply into my eyes, trying to see if I was lying.
“I’m not, she’s not here.” Who did this idiot think he was?
“Where is she then?” he questioned me, clearly thinking that she was probably close by so he could go run off and find her. But hell no!
“New York. Bye, fool!” I said nonchalantly and swung the door loudly in his face.
I dropped Monique off at the airport this morning. I’m glad she accepted the job offer and was gone to New York. She needed to get her mind off Tremaine and New York was the only thing that was going to help with that. She also found out that she wasn’t pregnant and what she was experiencing was just a mild case of PMS. I just wish she didn’t have to go so far away, but I guess I’ll just have to cope without her.
    I’ll miss her though...

“Don’t talk to me, boy. I’m here to get Monique’s things and that’s it. And don’t even think for one second that you can ask me about how she’s doing in New York, because I’m not telling you shit,” I warned Tremaine, waiting for him to show me where Monique’s things were.
“Okay,” he said quietly. She had only been gone a week and he was already looking like a lost puppy. It’s his fault anyway. You don’t cheat on your girl with your baby mama! “Her stuff is in my room upstairs.”
I didn’t bother replying. I walked quickly with my cardboard box in my hands and went up his golden stairs. He reluctantly followed me behind. He knew that I didn’t want to be here right now. This was the last place on earth that I wanted to be at right now.
I’m only doing this because Monique asked. If she didn’t ask I wouldn’t have to be in this ugly, big ass mansion of Tremaine’s.
    “But Jess, how is sh-”
“She’s fine,” I snapped at him, quickly walking down his corridor to head to his room where I knew
