nice name."
Signy, you just need to shut up right now.
His gaze is back at my nipples. I insert a fingertip into my cleavage and start tracing up my chest, arch my neck as I tickle myself traveling up my throat, and then lick my lips seductively as I pause briefly at my mouth. His eyes follow every single movement and when my fingertip stops at the bridge of my nose they finally meet my gaze. I tap the space between my eyebrows. "If you could please keep your attention up here, I'd appreciate it."
He chuckles, looks back down to my erect nipples, and then traces the imaginary path back up to my eyes once more. "You're hot."
"What?" Geeze, this guy is very forward for being on an interview.
"You look hot. It's baking in here, isn't it? I mean, regardless of what your nipples there think, Miss I-go-braless. So I'll start up the AC and we'll cool down pretty quick. Sound good?"
"I was caught off guard for your information. I thought you were coming tomorrow so I dressed…casual."
Shit! Why am I explaining myself to him? I'm the boss here, he's the one who wants me to hire him as my new surveillance guy for Private Peepers. I used to have a pretty good gig going, catching cheating husbands and wives, but my last spy guy went off and joined a big partnership. I've been looking for a replacement for months but no one qualified could pass the background check and those who could pass the background check, weren't qualified. Mr. I-have-my-own-surveillance-truck here is the first one who might actually be a viable candidate, so I have to at the very least see what's he's got.
"What's with this super-secret truck, anyway?"
He's up in the front seat now, looking through the keys on his key chain. He ignores me until he finds the one he's looking for, then cranks over the engine, flips on some switches, and then finally— finally —turns back to my question.
"It's designed to look like any old white SUV work truck on the outside, so when I park it on the street, no one takes any notice of it. But it still has to have everything I need, so I can do my job."
"Oh, that's a pretty smart idea, but you need to show me what you've got pretty fast here because I have a 4:00 appointment with my accountant and it's," I check my tablet, "3:35 already." Has it only been five minutes since I came outside with him?
"Grab the remote off the couch there and have a seat, will ya? You're making me nervous."
I do grab the remote and I do take a seat on the couch, but it only takes me a millisecond to realize this isn't a couch.
    It's a love seat.
He plops down next to me and I can smell the man on him.
He catches me sniffing and smells his pits. "Do I stink or something?" He whips his shirt off and throws it into a corner across the truck. "Sorry. I just drove up from New Mexico, so I'm pretty sweaty and gross."
My eyes have no hope. No hope at all. Maybe with a shirt on I could try and keep my mind off his sexy goodness, but now that he's half-naked, I can't be held responsible for my wandering gaze.
And I just have to say— daaaaaamn .
He is…he is…shit, the only word that comes to mind is magnificent. Like Stature of David godly. His abs are a perfect—what is that? An eight-pack? I thought that was an urban legend? His chest is a golden tan color, like he spends a lot of time outdoors. And he's got a tattoo creeping over his shoulders. I can't tell what it is from this vantage point, but it adds just the right amount of bad-boy to his already perfect badass-ness.
I am in so much trouble.
Aden is either pretending not to notice my gawking to be polite or he's secretly laughing at the lustful attention he's getting from me and holding it in. I can't see his face, so I go with the latter.
He leans back into the love seat and our bodies are touching. He's hot.
Not just like—body-wise. But he's hot to the touch. Like he's got a fire inside of him and being next to me multiplies that heat.
