raised their hand.
“Good. Then may Turanii be with you all. Let’s begin.” he smiled.
Once everyone separated into the position groups, Glover called Eiris over.
“Yesterday, I noticed you have very gifted physical abilities. As well as some natural leader-like qualities. I’d like you to try out as a drifter today.” said Glover.
“I’m not too sure I’ll be any good, but sure.” said Eiris as he put his tactical helmet on.
Using the hoverblades he was given, Eiris glided through the arena and used the ramps with ease. He was also exceptional at scoring from long and short distances. Kezzy, Dex, and Azonei were also standouts for the positions they tried out at.
“You’re a natural. How does this sport come so easy to you?” asked Glover.
“I guess it helps that on Earth I ice skated a lot. And skateboarding has always kind of been a hobby of mine as well.” said Eiris.
“Interesting. Well, I’ve seen all I need and I’d like you to be the starting drifter of the Blue Storm Electroball Team. That is, if you’re up to the challenge.” said Glover.
“Um……. yeah sure.” beamed Eiris in disbelief.
“Good. Directly after tryouts, all team members are to meet in the conclave room.” said Glover as he walked to the middle of the arena floor and sounded the horn.
“Everyone! I want to thank you all for coming! I’ve made my decisions and each player will be notified shortly. I look forward to seeing you all later, at the Guild Zone.” said Glover.
When Eiris met up with the others, he learned that they all made the team too. Kezzy and Dex made the two starting rider spots and Azonei made starting first runner because of his exceptional speed. As they walked into the conclave room, everyone already there turned and looked at them. Glover walked in soon after and began greeting everyone.
“It’s good to see everyone here on time. You all have been chosen to represent our guild in the war sport of Electroball. Many of you are fresh starts so let’s all get acquainted by introducing ourselves.” said Glover.
As the introductions continued, the starting sixteen began.
“As many of you know, my name is Glover. I’m the starting goalie of the Blue Storm.” said Glover.
“My name’s Hunter. I play enforcer because I like hitting people.” he smirked.
“I’m Rigel. I play second defender.”
    “Kami. Fourth defender.”
“My name’s Ashia. I play second runner.”
    “I’m Raiven. I’m first defender.”
    “Veirre. Third defender.”
    “I’m Lonu. Third runner.”
    “Greyson. Fifth defender.”
“My name’s Britta. I’m Fourth runner.”
    “Lars. Sixth defender.”
    “Hazel. I play fifth runner.”
“I’m Azonei. I play starting first runner.” said Azonei.
“Dex. Starting right rider.” said Dex.
“I’m Kezzy. I play starting left rider.” said Kezzy.
“My name’s Eiris. I’m the starting drifter.” smiled Eiris.
When everyone finished greeting each other, Glover gave them all the practice and game schedules in a holosync with their smartwatches.
“I expect great things from you.” smiled Glover as he synced Eiris the schedules.
Walking back to the dorm wing, Eiris and the crew were all excited they made the starting sixteen.
“I can’t believe we all play key positions!” smiled Azonei.
“Yup, I can already see that Luridium trophy in the Guild Hall.” smiled Kezzy.
“We can’t be overconfident. Look at who we’re up against for the first game.” said Dex.
“The Black Horde.” said Eiris in a tone of disgust.
“Hey, as long as we work together we can beat em.” said Kezzy.
“We don’t have to worry about them. Besides, the really fun stuff comes in the next few months.” smiled Azonei.
    “Like what?” asked Eiris.
“Bonding training and the hunt….” grinned Kezzy.

“Hey Eiris, what’d you choose for your main study?” whispered Azonei.
“Um, robo-genetics.” whispered Eiris as he continued to study his
