“Do you remember when I called you last year and told you I’d met the girl of my dreams?” Dom asked.

Not at all offended, Dominic shrugged. “Well, when I fall at least I do it with style. Do you remember what you told me?” When Quinn didn’t answer, Dom continued. “You told me that if I’d found someone that made me feel like my center of gravity had shifted, then I should do whatever I had to. That it was worth upending my entire life to make it happen.”
Quinn snorted. “That shows how much I know. Here we are six months later and both of our love lives have gone to shit. Don’t listen to my advice. I have none. Nada.” They turned the corner and he peered into each classroom they passed. Nothing.
“But you were right. I did upend my life. I convinced Veronica to come here and even though she hasn’t committed to me yet, I know she will soon. She was sheltered and she needs time to explore a little bit. But at least she’s here where I can see her every day.”
Quinn shook his head. “I’m not sure I call that a happy ending. She still won’t admit that she likes you.”
Dom looked away. “She’ll admit that she wants me. That’s enough for now.”
“I hope it is.” Quinn stopped when he saw they’d looped back around to the East Wing where the classes were held. “Damn, we’re back where we started. I know she didn’t actually leave the grounds because Jackson checked the security footage outside.”
“Come on, let’s walk this level one more time. I have a class soon and if we don’t find her by then, I’ll cancel it so we can keep searching.” Dom pulled out his cell phone. His hands flew over the keys. “In the meantime, I just sent a text to Veronica and some of the guys asking if they’ve noticed any new students in their classes.”
Quinn laughed. “That would be just like her. She’s smart enough to know I’d search the obvious places. Just wait until we find her. I am going to paddle that ass until she can’t walk straight.”
Dom lifted an eyebrow. “I thought she didn’t sign up for bondage or domination?”
