“We shall start the bidding at one-million dollars. Who would like the chance to experience first hand the girth of our African prince?”
In the front row Ethan’s sister, Ms. Cartwright, held up her sign with the number 2 on it.
“Yes, ma’am. Number 2 has bid one million dollars. Do I have one point two-five?” He looked around the audience. Hope did too still reeling from knowing Ethan's sister might be fucking Tyrese later. Did he not even care?
“Yes, on the side. Number 31. Do I have one–“
Ms. Cartwright raised her card before he could finish.
“Number 2 has bid one million five. Do I have one seven-five?”
Everyone turned to look in the direction of Number 31, the middle-aged woman. Was every person here a sex maniac? The woman raised her card.
“One seven-five!” Mr. Donovan said.
The audience turned to look back at Ms. Cartwright who responded by raising her card.
“Two million dollars for Number 2.”
Number 31 was saying something in the ear of the man next to here. Then he nodded slowly and she raised her card.
“Two point two-five million!” Mr. Donovan said. “Do I have two five?”
All eyes were on Mrs. Cartwright as she raised three fingers along with her card.
“Three million dollars to Number 2.”
Number 31 was frantically talking in the ear of the man next to her but he was just shaking his head. Finally, she got up and stomped out of the room.
“It looks as though the bid will stand unless another bidder emerges. I have three-million going once. Going twice. Sold, to the lady holding Number 2. Enjoy your night madam.”
Ms. Cartwright had a sly smile on her face as the crowd applauded.
Tyrese climbed back down from the platform, looking in Hope's direction briefly before exiting the stage through the curtain. He seemed indifferent to the huge sum of money Ms. Cartwright had just paid for him.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” Mr. Donovan said, “we’ve come to the final item of tonight’s auction. If you’ve been holding back at all then now’s the time to put your money to work. I can tell you a fine young woman such as this Brazillian virgin will fetch quite the price. Serious bids only please.”
Hope stood up and tried to stand in a sexy manner but when she couldn’t figure out what that was she just put her hands on her hips and tried to act confident. As confident as one could be chained to a platform nude in front of a billionaire's closest friends.
Mr. Donovan said, “We shall start the bidding at five million dollars.”
Holy shit, she thought. That’s way too high. Nobody will pay that. Then another thought came. What would she be expected to do if they did pay that?
“Ahh,” Mr. Donovan said, “Number 1 starts off the bidding at five-million dollars.”
Ethan sat in the front row holding up his Number 1 sign, smiling. Now that would be a perfect ending to the night.
“Do we have ten million?”
She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. If she’d known she was worth ten million dollars she would have started whoring herself out ages ago.
Then Bill raised his Number 4 confidently and shot a look at Ethan.
“Number 4 comes in strongly with a ten million dollar bid.”
Were these two billionaires actually about to start a bidding war over her?
Mr. Donovan said, “Do we have fifteen million?”
And then a sinking feeling in her stomach came when the Senator raised his number 5. Spending the night with that man was not her idea of a good time.
“And Number 5 is in the mix at fifteen million.”
Ethan raised his number 1 immediately.
“Number 1 has twenty-million, ladies and gentlemen.”
