His Truth Your Nightmare
then rested my head onto his chest and
got comfortable. He squeezed me tighter then began to roam his
hands all over my back firm and gently. The massage was much needed
and I liked the feeling that was coming over me. He refused to let
me go no matter how much I stirred and I really don’t know if I
wanted him to. I really wanted to enjoy him but my mind was
consumed with the thoughts of all the drama that is sure to come if
I give him a chance.
Slow jams played in the background on this
quiet ride. Tink’s song, “Treat Me Like Somebody” had me in my
feelings even more. I softly sang to myself,
“Somebody real is hard to find
    Somebody worth all your time
Somebody who can tell you the truth
Someone who loves you for you
Someone who knows all of your flaws &
Doesn't impose, try to control them
    Let's you be free
    Doesn't deceive &
Gives you a chance to believe
    Believe in something
    Is that too much?
Cause I've been on the search and I'm losing
my hope
Is that too much? Is that too much?
Trying to find love in a world so cold
    Is that too much?
I just want an answer, I can't be the only
one
    Is that too much?
You ain't got to be perfect
Just give me a purpose to love
    I just want somebody (body)
To treat me like somebody (body)
    Won't be like everybody (body)
All you got to do is love me for me
baby.”
I could feel exactly what she was saying
because I have been let down a few times after I opened my heart.
Sometimes I think it is so easy to kill my male victims because of
what I had been through. He rubbed my hair then lifted my chin so
that my gaze could meet his eyes. I was locked in and the gaze was
so intense that I had to turn my head. He let me into the windows
of his soul and I knew if I didn’t get as far away from him as I
can then he will be able to consume me into his world.
The ride to his home stayed quiet for the
remainder of the way as we both were consumed by our thoughts. The
blood that pumped through our hearts was at one, two different
beats that danced to the same tune. I was resting so peacefully in
his arms and before I know it we were at our destination. The
driver punched in the code and the gate buzzed then slid open. We
pulled into the gate and drove what seemed five more minutes before
we reached the front of the mini mansion. The lawn that was before
me was so extravagant. Palm trees, beautiful beds of flowers in all
different shade and colors, plus a huge statue of a lion graced the
massive front yard. The yard was very impressive and the
Mediterranean style home was just as beautiful. Legend is a man
that exudes power. You know that you are in the presence of a man
who is a boss, a man who is about his business without him even
opening his mouth.
“We are here,” was all he said as he got out
of the car with me cradled to his arms like a baby.

Chapter 13
Legend
It’s something about this woman that would
not allow me to let her leave because I knew that if she got away
from me then there may have been no getting her back. Piphy being
her usual selfish self thinks that she can have her cake and eat it
too. What made matters even worse is that the two are enemies. I
can only imagine how Beautiful is feeling right now. I just have to
show her that there is no more of that situation. Piphy had called
my phone back to back whining about how she wanted to see me. I was
in a bad mood but didn’t feel like fighting with her so I told her
where we would be for Roe’s birthday. Honestly, I had forgotten all
about the invite. She hasn’t gotten it through her head yet that it
is completely over but I will show her. I will not let her mess
this up for me.
I’m sure glad that I had the driver to meet
me at the club so that I could leave and go my separate way once I
had enough of the club. My boys all know that clubs aren’t really
my scene and they were probably surprised that I stayed as long as
I did. I had to do it big for Roe. That’s my youngin. My initial
plan was
