high whine of his car’s engine as it pulled down the long driveway.
She’d endured the lesson to his satisfaction. Who knew something so…aggressive? Sadistic? Could be so enjoyable?
When she returned to her room, she stripped off her clothes again and checked out her butt in the mirror. Her skin was mottled in pink and red, and it felt warm to the touch. She ran her palm lightly over it, but it didn’t hurt. Emboldened, she poked at herself but found she really wasn’t too tender. He hadn’t done any real damage. Nothing that wouldn’t go away in a few hours mostly.
Looking at the bed, she thought about crawling into it to ease her exhaustion, but a glance at the windows reminded her of what a nice day it was. She was at a mansion with great security and a pool, and no work to do today—Ford hadn’t left her any instructions other than to rest and take care of herself.
So instead she picked out a bikini—a traditional string one, with strategically placed triangles covering all her good parts. It was turquoise with white polka-dots, and it was one of her favorites. She added white, wedge sandals and an over-sized hat and inspected herself in the mirror, turning around. The small bikini bottom didn’t cover all the pink marks on her ass cheeks, and she was glad. If Ford saw the marks visible under her skimpy bikini bottom, he might not be able to keep his hands off her.
Chewing on her lip, she smiled at her reflection. Being with Ford and Charley was great for any body issues she had. She couldn’t help but to think of herself as a sexy woman, because she was constantly being used for sex or being forced to think about the next time she’d be used for sex. And it didn’t feel odd—it felt as though she was a goddess.
She adjusted the triangles on her top. She wasn’t bean-pole skinny by any stretch. In fact she was fairly curvy. She tugged at the triangles again but there was simply no more fabric to be had. Shrugging, she turned from the mirror to pack a pool bag. Her choice of swimsuits probably wasn’t in good taste, but hey, she had a private pool and two handsome men who might catch her wearing the too-small bikini and decide they just had to have her. Yes…they. She giggled at the wicked thought and headed for the pool.

Excerpt from Come When Called #7, THE SUNRISE :

Leaning into Ford’s Aston Martin, Evie turned her head slowly, her gaze moving from his spider-webbed rear window to the front, visualizing the path the bullet would have taken through the car, wanting not to believe what she was seeing.
    And there it was.
Vertigo slammed into her as the world tilted. She grabbed for the door frame to steady herself until the lightheadedness passed. Then her eyes focused on it again—confirmation. There was a hole shattered into the dashboard of the car. A plate that used to house knobs for climate control now hung off the dashboard in pieces, one of the
