flatly.
“Why can’t I just have some out of your flask again?” I ask with a slight whine.
“That is only to hold you over. You need a healthy fresh feed of blood,” he said. The look in his eyes was serious and determined.
“This is insane ,” I said.
“You will go insane if you don’t feed ,” he pointed out.
“Why feed here at our stomping ground? Why not go far away? And how come she can walk in the sun if she is a vampire and why isn’t she turning into a wolf? And why are you looki ng at me like that?” Nikkee asked.
Lachlan had an amused look on his face. I smirked and then laughed and then Nikkee did as well.
“There is much for Trinity-” he paused and looked to Nikkee then continued, “and now you to learn. For now we will take care of problem number one, and that is getting Trinity food,” he finished.
“Will I…” I choked on my words because I wasn’t sure I even wanted to say them aloud.
Nikkee and Lachlan both looked at me. I sucked in a deep breath and tried again, “Will I…kill the person?”
“We are hoping you don’t ,” Lachlan said honestly.
My panic level had just reached a new height.
“Oh my God! Oh my God! No! I can’t do this. I won’t.”
Nikkee turned me to face her. The look on her face was scared. Not for anyone else but scared for me. “You have too Trin ,” she said with kindness in her voice.
“Why do I have to? Why is this so important? I feel fine as I am now ,” I half groaned.
We both turned to Lachlan. He looked like he wasn’t going to say anything, but I held my ground.
He sighed and then said, “When you feed, it shows that you have picked a side.”
I frowned , “What do you mean picked a side? A side for what?”
“You don’t understand…” he started, but I cut in.
“Of course I don’t understand. You have been so vague with me. You haven’t told me much more than that I am now a monster and my destiny has already been chosen for me,” I yelled. Good thing there were only cars in the car park, or people would think I was crazy.
“The war, Trinity, between my kind and the Wolves. We have tried to find out as much as we can about the prophecy but there is not much. The one thing we fear is, you have been scratched by a werewolf and bitten by a vampire. You will need to choose which side you will be on before the next full moon in two weeks, before you change.” He said pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Change?” I said raising an eyebrow.
“Yes, change. In two weeks, if you do not choose to be a vampire you will change into a werewolf. Well, that’s what we presume.”
“Presume. But you are not sure?” I pressed.
“No, we are not sure, but it’s not like you can be both ,” he yelled.
“And why the Hell not?” I yelled back.
    “Because it could kill you.”
“Well perhaps that is my decision to make. Not yours. If I choose, it will be MY choice. I will not be tricked into feeding off a human when I don’t need too ,” I said calmly and turned away. With Nikkee’s hand still in mine, we walked out onto the street and back towards town. It was going to be a long walk, but at that moment I really didn’t care, and by the determined look on Nikkee’s face neither did she.

We didn’t really walk that far. We made our grand exit down the street, around the corner and then Nikkee called Jason. I thought she would have called Sky, but seeing as neither of us got a text back from her I think the message was clear. I had even sent Mark a message and got no reply. That made me nervous, as I knew she must have told him. We had been friends the longest and he always replied, no matter what.
After waiting only a short while, Jason arrived. His expression was fierce as he questioned us.
“Why did you leave your car at Jala’s and who did you go to the club with?” he demanded.
I was sitting in the back trying to be invisible, so it was all on Nikkee
