mind.
Every thought echoed the want of him. No artifice, no secrets, no hidden agenda. Just pure, unadulterated lust and…he drew away, startled.
“What?” She breathed the word, licking her lips. Her hands roamed across his chest, alternating between stroking his skin and teasing him through the pajama bottoms. Every muscle in him went rigid.
“Amanda…” Stopping was not out of the question. Not yet. Better to regret what might have been than live with recrimination for taking advantage.
Undeterred by his retreat, she leaned forward and bit down on his shoulder, her tongue laving at his skin. The action stymied him, but why should she understand reluctance when his finger still rested deep inside her and his thumb seemed possessed of a mind of its own, teasing her clit with electric shocks at every caress.
“Yes, Simon?” She breathed the words against his ear and his mind. With a groan, he slid his hands free and pulled her off the counter, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her. She clutched at his shoulders, her legs wrapped around his hips and, if not for their clothes, he would have thrust home. As it was, she arched her hips and ground herself against him, the hard, pulsing actions short firing the neurons in his mind.
He made it two steps away from the counter and sank down on the floor. Lips meshing together, he worked his hands under her tank top and released her only long enough to strip the shirt off and throw it to the side. Her breasts were small, pert, and filled his palm. He massaged his hands over them.
Yes, just like that… The mental exclamation drove him. Easing her down against the floor, he kissed a path along her jaw to her throat and lower to the first plump nipple and sucked it between his teeth. Her fingers fisted in his hair, urging him closer. He teased it with long, hard licks, vibrating the tension in her higher. Every time she gasped, he increased the pressure and, when her fingers bit into him, he shifted to lave the attention on the other nipple. One tug and the drawstring on her bottoms gave away easily. The sharp curves of her body betrayed her ill treatment in the last few months.
Violence surged through him. A scar decorated her right abdomen and her hip. She writhed impatiently as he nudged the fabric down and pressed a kiss to her pelvis. Hurry…
“Shhh.” He kissed his way to her thigh. “Patience.”
Screw patience. Fuck me… The bold demand sent heat racing down his spine. It was exactly what he wanted to do, but he didn’t have a condom.
Sitting up, she gave him a little push, denying him the first taste he anticipated and she glared at him. “You’re a guy, and you don’t have a condom?” A flash of embarrassment rushed him, and her expression softened. “Simon, there’s an entire med lab downstairs. I’ll bet you dollars for donuts the doc has condoms stashed somewhere.”
It hadn’t occurred to him. Scooping her up, he left her clothes where they were and carried her down the stairs. She laughed and teased his earlobe with wet, sucking kisses that threatened to topple them down the stairs. Are you always this impatient? He headed for the supply cabinet. And, as if summoned by his thoughts, he located them on the first shelf. Pulling them out, Amanda grabbed them from his hand. The search had cleared his head, but only enough to realize they needed more privacy than the kitchen or lab floors.
Inside her hospital room, he shut the door and kissed her, a long, hard, tongue thrusting kiss that left them both dizzy. Somehow, she got the foil package open, and then they were on the floor. When she pushed his pants down, he settled on the bottom rather than let the cold, hard tile touch her skin.
Her glowing gaze turned bluish-white, and his breath locked in his throat. You’re beautiful. He tried to show her how gorgeous she was in his mind, and her cheeks flushed and her smile grew wider.
“You’re one to talk.” Her fingers teased the
