from beneath me. I thought I had a firmer grasp on her, but I guess not. The haze of my lust starts to fade away as I see her standing there, her hands held out like a shield, her chest rising and falling with heavy breaths.
“ We don't have to have sex.” I gulp in a mouthful of air, trying to calm myself. The urge to pounce is strong, but I can see that she's shaken. Genuinely shaken. Unsure of how she feels about what's going on.
“ We don't?” She seems surprised.
    “ No. We don't.”
    “ Then, what happens now?”
I take a step forward, and she cowers slightly, making me stop in my tracks. “Despite what you think, it wasn't all a game to me. I didn't purposely stalk you.”
“ It sure seemed like it.” She looks away as the bitter words fall from her lips.
“ Are you upset that I started talking to you?”
“ No. I just want to understand why.”
“ Believe it or not, it was purely coincidence. But it was a happy coincidence. I'm glad it happened.”
“ What's a guy like you doing on a dating website?” She relaxes a little.
“ Market research. And apparently flirting up The Beast.” I smirk.
Her mouth falls agape for a moment, and then she pouts like a child. “They told you that?”
“ They did.” I nod and laugh.
“ How embarrassing.” She draws her hand up to her face, which makes her look even more adorable and desirable.
“ Go out on a date with me,” I say boldly.
“ What?” Shock returns to her face.
“ Our secret identities have been revealed. There's no point in playing games anymore. I'm interested in you. If you're interested in me, you'll say yes.”
“ But you're my boss.” She glances at the door, keeping her voice low.
“ Not quite.” In truth, that has never stopped me from dating someone before.
“ Yes quite. You own this company now.” She gestures around the room.
“ But I'm not going to be running it. My management team is. I'll never actually be coming into the office...unless you want me to.” I wink at her, and she looks away.
“ I don't know, Mister Larsen, this is kind of weird.”
    “ Colton. Call me Colton.”
“ Colton,” she tries out my name, and it sounds absolutely heavenly coming from her lips. I want to hear her screaming it later when she's beneath me and I'm inside of her.
“ To be honest, I don't think we're right for each other,” she says hesitantly.
“ Maybe we're not, but it doesn't hurt to find out.”
“ Except it does. I don't think you understand my meaning.”
    “ Explain, then.”
She gazes up at me, her resolve firmly in place. “You seem like the type of guy who takes what he wants without a second thought towards the consequences. A love'em and leave'em type. Self-serving and selfish. I can't help but get the feeling that this would just be sex to you, and if that's the case, then you need to know I don't have sex until way far into a relationship.”
This news does kind of surprise me. Her aggressive, confident personality had me fooled into thinking that she didn't wait too long before jumping into the sack with a guy she liked. Not to mention all of those sexy pictures on her profile. It's a good case for never judge a book by its cover.
“ So you don't want to have sex with me. I get it. That's fine. We can at least get to know each other, can't we? A date wouldn't hurt.”
“ A date,” she parrots absentmindedly.
“ Just a date. Nothing more.” I push a strand of hair behind her ear.
“ Nothing more?” She gives me an uncertain look.
“ Unless you want there to be more, of course.” I grin.
“ Nothing more.” Her expression turns serious.
“ Fine. Nothing more.” I hold my hands up and back away from her. “I'll send a car to pick you up at seven.”
“ You know my address?” She quirks an eyebrow.
“ I'm your boss. Of course, I know your address. You're not the only one who is resourceful.”
