sounds like you could use some sleep. How about I call you later tonight, say nine your time?”
“I’ll be here.”
“No date?” She’d half expected her friend to give her a rant.
“Nope, no date. I think I’m going to get a cat instead. Maybe four.”
“Don’t tell me you’ve given up on men already.”
“Oh hell no,” Olivia admonished. “I’m going to start being a little pickier though. There have to be a few good ones left out there.”
Sophie knew of a particular one.
“You go nurse that hangover and I promise to catch you up tonight.”
“Can you pretty please with sugar give me a hint?”
“Nope.”
“Damn. You realize the suspense is going to kill me.”
“I promise to make it worth your while.”
Her friend groaned. “If you say so.”
“I do. Talk to you later.”
“Bye.”
Sophie shut her phone and beamed at Noah.
“You sure she’d be a good fit for Tate?” He asked.
“They’re perfect for each other.”
She knew Olivia and she knew what Olivia wanted. A real live Greek god. An alpha male who would keep her in line, but still put up with her high maintenance demands. And a man who knew his way around a kitchen.
“Now, let’s eat. I’m famished,” she said. Her stomach grumbled in agreement.
“I’ll have to keep it light.” Noah winked and patted his stomach. “I’ve got to fit into that toga this afternoon.”
Sophie’s body went liquid at the visual. “Not for long.” Come midnight she’d be sidled up to his naked body, lips locked in another sweet kiss while luxuriating in his warm embrace.
