Oscar to the men’s section, letting them look at holiday ties, socks with cartoon characters on them, executive toys and games, silk boxers with suggestive pictures, and row after row of just about anything that could even vaguely be considered an appropriate gift.
“Oh my God!” said Oscar, holding up a pair of boxers with ‘Bite Me’ written across the butt.
“What about this?” suggested Donovan, holding up a DVD set of the latest TV series.
Jewel leaned back against a shelf and smiled as she watched them become less tense, more relaxed, almost lighthearted, as they searched the stock and found plenty of things to laugh about.
They made their choices, after which she led them quickly to the women’s section where she selected a few things, including a gigantic bottle of bubble bath.
“That all adds up to more than twenty-five dollars. They specifically said the gifts for tomorrow were only supposed to cost twenty-five dollars,” objected Donovan.
“Good to know you can count,” Jewel replied, hurrying them to the line to pay.
Once out of the store, she headed quickly along the sidewalk, moving steadily northwest.
“Where are we going now? I thought we only needed the one gift for tomorrow?” asked Donovan.
“Oh, is this the way to the something else we’re supposed to like? Are we going out to eat? I wouldn’t mind some food,” commented Oscar.
“Only a couple more blocks now,” Jewel said, ignoring their questions.
She took them to a large city hotel, collected a keycard from the reception desk, and hustled them into the elevator. She swiped the keycard and pressed the button for the twelfth floor, watching the two men exchange raised eyebrows and shrug. Jewel couldn’t help the grin that spread across her face.
“Are you sure we’re going to like this? Or will you be the only one who appreciates it?” asked Oscar warily.
“You’ll enjoy it, I promise you. It wasn’t too painful going shopping with me, was it?”
“No, actually that was quite fun. I was very tempted to buy those boxers,” he replied as the elevator door dinged and opened.
Without explanation, she led them to the room and swiped her keycard again. Flipping the light switches, she left the two men standing in the entry and walked into the bathroom. She’d asked for the hot tub to be filled and bubbling ready for her, and it was. With a wicked grin at herself in the mirror, she pulled the giant bottle of bubble bath out of the parcel of things she’d just bought, and upended half the container into the hot tub.
Less than ten minutes and the place should be full of bubbles, she thought with her naughtiest grin. If that doesn’t make them a memorable White Christmas, nothing will!
Pulling the bathroom door half closed behind her, Jewel walked back into the main room of the suite, hoping Oscar wasn’t asleep in front of the television yet.
But both Oscar and Donovan were standing in the main room, still looking around in a confused sort of way.
“Take pity on us, Jewel. We’re only men, remember. Why are we here? Are we supposed to have sex? It’s a big bed, but we’ve got one of those at home,” asked Donovan.
“Or are we on our way somewhere else? But there’s no luggage with costumes for us to change into or whatever,” added Oscar, looking all around.
“Tonight is my holiday gift to us all,” began Jewel.
“Oh no. Was I supposed to buy you a gift, too?” joked Oscar.
Jewel swatted his arm lightly. “I thought after the shopping you might be ready to relax and have some fun. You’ve both been working so hard lately, I thought it was time we had an opportunity just to play. So get naked and come into the bathroom, and we’ll play.”
“Play in the bathroom? Not play in the bed?” asked Donovan.
“Well, likely we’ll play in the bed later. But right now we’re going to play in the bathroom.”
“I like shower sex,” said Oscar, kicking off his shoes.
    “Good point. I do, too,”
