fire and wind away with the sucker,â said Kai. âSuck its air away. Fire dies when it has no air.â
But before they could plan more, a burning rock hit the botâs chest. And more were coming.
Kai watched as a huge fire and wind attack hit the bot. It was blasted down towards the border-wall.
âQuick, BC,â said Kai. âWe have to get back into the cockpit. We need to take control of the bot again.â
But Kai couldnât see BC.
Oh no, thought Kai. Where is he? Then he flew down to the bot. He got control of it just as it reached the border wall. Phew! Now I have to find BC. Please be okay, BC!
Kai looked up at the beast. Its three heads were roaring.
But the noise wasnât an angry roar.
It looks like itâs been hurt, thought Kai. And itâs only shooting dirt and rock. Where has all the fire gone?
The beastâs huge wings opened again. Itâs getting ready for another wind attack, thought Kai. Then he saw BC.
âYes!â said Kai as he saw BC fly out from under the beastâs wings. âYouâre okay!â
âI am,â said BC. âMy F-R-T Attack worked. Maybe I got an upgrade. When I was wrapped in the beastâs wings I did the F-R-T. It took away all the beastâs fire.â
âExcellent work, BC,â said Kai. âI canât believe those wings didnât hurt you!â
âThatâs why I chew metal bolts in my doggy digs,â said BC. âIt makes my dogbot body strong!â
âThatâs good,â said Kai. âBut now letâs beat this beast and take it to the Outlands. Where it belongs!â
âYes,â said BC. âBut we need to stop the wind attacks.â
âI think I have a plan for that,â said Kai. âLetâs use the sucker to suck back the beastâs wings. That will stop it from being able to flap them.â
âAnd then it canât do wind attacks!â said BC.
Just then Kai heard his orb beep. He took it from his pocket.
Kai read the messages. âYou did get an upgrade to your F-R-T Attack,â said Kai.
âWhatâs the other message?â asked BC.
âItâs about the dirt we sucked up with the sucker. When we first came here. I can use it in the T-J Striker.â
Kai pulled the strikerâs black cord from his jet-pack. He pushed it into the sucker converter plug-hole on the botâs dashboard.
âYou fly the bot and suck the beastâs wings back,â he said to BC. âIâll blast it with the dirt from my striker jets.â
BC sucked back the beastâs wings. Kai blasted blue jet streams at the beast with the strikerâs four jets. Soon the beast began to drop.
Kai quickly hit the button on BCâs collar for the ray cage.
Rays of light flew out and caught the beast as it fell.
âWeâve got it!â said Kai. âLetâs get it to the Outlands.â
BC flew towards the outlands bringing the cage and beast with him. Kai followed in the bot.
As soon as Kai could see the beast gate he took out his orb. He sent the BMC a message to open the gate.
âGet ready!â said Kai.
âThe gate is opening,â said BC. âIâll put the beast inside.â
When the beast was safely inside the gate the ray cage turned itself off. The gate closed and Kai and BC heard the beast growl.
âThe beast could still battle, maybe,â said BC.
âMaybe,â said Kai. âBut itâs locked away in the Outlands now. It canât get out. So Earth is safe.â
Yes,â said BC. âTime to go home?â
âTime for home,â said Kai.
BC climbed back into the botâs cockpit. Kai keyed in the codes for the lighthouse. And with a flash of light they were gone.
