Hot SEALs: Through Her Eyes
to stay with me, because I still have sex acts to check off my list.”
He spoke loudly enough that Jax started laughing.
Piper’s cheeks heated, but she kept staring, challenging him to finish. She had to know where she stood before she gave her answer.
“I want you to stay, because I want to get to know you better. Want to see if what we have is something…lasting.” By the time he finished the sentence, he was whispering.
And looked damned uncomfortable. He’d better get used to the feeling. Piper moved in closer until her chest met his and she had to tilt back her head to hold his dark, glittering gaze. “I don’t want to stay here.” At his quick inhalation, she reached up and placed her hand on his cheek. “But I want to be with you. For as long as you need until you realize we were meant for each other.”
“That what you think?” His eyes narrowed to a slit.
His voice was quiet, but tense. Which told her he was pleased with what she’d said. “It is. You watched me through your Hensoldt. I watched you through my Bushnell binoculars. We both have a list that will take a lifetime before we’ve explored each other thoroughly. And I…” she paused to gather her courage, “I haven’t learned nearly enough about you, but I want the chance to find all your flaws.”
He quirked an eyebrow. “You think I have flaws?”
    “You snore.”
His head jerked back. “You mewl like a cat in heat.”
“That’s not a flaw,” she said, wrinkling her nose.
    “No, it’s damn cute.”
That sounds promising . She dropped her gaze to the middle of his chest. “What if I fall in love with you? Will that scare you off?”
He shook his head. “You just tell me when.”
“Not if?” she asked, her heart beginning to lighten.
His hands clamped around her buttocks. “By the time I get to number fifteen on the list, you’ll be mine.”

WOLF WAS A man who didn’t allow himself many regrets. But the biggest would happen the following morning when he stepped aboard the transport plane with the rest of the team Charter had assembled for their next mission.
He didn’t have a clue where he was going, but he’d spent the last week being inoculated for just about every possible African and Asian disease. So he knew the team wouldn’t be in this hemisphere.
His regret would be leaving Piper without telling her he loved her.
Other than very brief requirements Charter had made, like the inoculations, they’d been together since they’d stepped off the corporate jet shared with Reynard, Jax, and Suri. Both Calvin and Piper had decided to take some “alone time.”
Tomorrow, Piper would be heading to Dallas to hunt for office space. Piper and Calvin would at last have a home. She said she’d live out of a hotel room until Wolf got back, because she wanted him to suffer through searching for just the right digs.
He’d told her to look while he was gone. Whatever she chose would be good with him. So long as the place had room for a California king and a Jacuzzi tub.
    “What about a yard?”
    “You ready to mow it?”
She wrinkled her nose. “I’ll look at something xeriscaped. We won’t even have to water it.”
He loved how unfussy she was. Game for anything. Now was a great case in point. She stood bent at the waist, her wrists restrained at her ankles with black leather straps and metal clips. He had her completely at his mercy.
“The blood’s rushing to my head.”
“It’s rushing to mine, too,” he murmured, glancing down at his cock.
Piper snickered. “I’m not sure this will work for me. I understand how you’ll get off—seeing me all tied up, and you can move, but—”
    “Trust me?”
“Of course,” she said, sounding breathless.
“Comfortable?” he asked as he walked to his go bag and pulled out the package he’d stopped for after his last round of shots. He upended the contents into his palm and smiled at the sight.
“Comfortable as any woman bent like a pretzel, I
