to not give herself away.
    “ There's
something you're not telling me. I'm going to find out what it is,”
he whispered.
    Oh
shit, she thought.
    “ Thank
you for caring enough to go to the bar tonight. You have no idea what
that means to me. Sleep well sweetheart.”
    Julie
heard a beeping sound. She opened her eyes and looked around. It took
a moment for her to feel the arm over her side and realize where she
was. She looked to the side to see the clock on the nightstand say
five o'clock. Oh crap, she had fallen asleep. It was real. She was
really with Ethan. It wasn't a dream. She had dreamt about him many
times, but none of them were even close to what had really happened.
The beep happened again. She carefully slid out from under his arm.
As she went to walk past the bottom of the bed, she heard the beep on
the floor in his jeans. She bent down and grabbed his phone from his
pocket and walked into his bathroom. Julie closed the door before she
turned on the light so she wouldn't wake him up. She had to stop that
pain in the ass sound. Her finger pushed the button at the top of the
phone and she saw a portion of a text on the screen. She knew it was
none of her business, but she couldn't stop herself after seeing what
she had just seen. Julie swiped across the screen and gasped as she
read it.
    “ Hey
baby, where are you? You were supposed to be here two hours ago. I
miss you. I need you. Call me as soon as you get this. I'm worried
about you.”
    Julie
shut the phone off and looked down at it. She felt tears fill her
eyes as she tried to push them back. It was a huge mistake. She had
made one of the worst mistakes of her life. What the hell was she
thinking? How could she have let that happen? He was good. She had
been played. Gavin was going to kill her when he found out they had
been together. Get out of his house, she thought to herself. Hurry up
and get out. How could she have let herself think that there was
anything between her and Ethan? What had she done?
    She
left the bathroom door open a tiny bit while she looked for her
clothes. Once she collected them all, she put his phone on his
nightstand, turned off the bathroom light, and used her phone light
to get out of his room and down the stairs. In his front hallway, she
got dressed as quickly as she could. She felt like she was going to
pass out and needed to get out into the cool air. Once she was in her
car and on her way, she let the tears fall from her eyes. What the
hell was she thinking? She knew better than to trust a man. Julie had
learned her lesson a long time ago, or at least she thought she did.
That would definitely never happen again.

Chapter

    Ethan
opened his eyes slowly as they adjusted to the light. He looked over
at the clock on his nightstand and saw ten o'clock. What the heck
happened? Why didn't his alarm go off? He knew he should have been at
the office already. As he jumped out of the bed, he noticed his
clothes spread out on the floor. When he picked them up, a pair of
ripped panties fell from his hand. Oh shit, he thought. It was real.
That wasn't a dream. He had slept with Julie. Ethan sat back down on
the edge of his bed, with his arms on his knees and his face in his
hands. It was the hottest sex he had ever had, and Ethan had more
than his fair share. He seriously thought he had been dreaming. Gavin
was going to kill him, and he knew he had it coming. How could he
sleep with one of his best friends' sister?
    She
must have woken up before him. He grabbed his jeans as he ran
downstairs to talk to her, but he didn't see her. When he couldn't
find her anywhere, he went outside to be sure. Her car was gone. He
walked back into his house and slammed the door behind him. Where the
fuck did she go? What time did she leave? He was so pissed. How could
she leave before he even woke up? He reached into the pocket of his
jeans for his phone, but it wasn't there. Where could it be. It was
in his pocket when he dropped the jeans to the floor
