    â€œHere’s hoping.” She exhaled heavily, sending wisps of silky hair flying off her forehead. “He needs to find something else to worry about because he’s making me—” She stopped in midsentence and eyed him accusingly. “How do you do that?”
    â€œWhat?”
    â€œKeep steering the conversation back to me.”
    â€œI thought you were doing the same thing to me.”
    Something about this seemed to disturb her, judging by the tiny frown that wedged itself between her brows. “Naturally, I’m interested in you. You’ve got quite the reputation.”
    Now it was his turn to eye her dubiously, because he recognized evasive maneuvers when he saw them. This lovely lady didn’t want to talk about herself. Being the curious person he was, Rex couldn’t help but wonder why.
    â€œA reputation I won’t enjoy for long if I don’t get to work.” He shoved his chair away from the table, deciding a little distance was in order right now. Not only to get April off her guard, but to give him a break from inhaling her delicate fragrance that was throwing his senses into high gear. “I’ll get our model together. We’ll hit the ground running tomorrow with the Fetish Collection.”
    â€œYou just jump right in with the tough stuff, don’t you?”
    â€œThe gaming and adventure sheets present the biggest challenges. I scheduled them first so I’ll have time to study whatever comes up.”
