attention to themselves.
“ Izz, COME IN,” Sam repeated, this time with more force. She could tell the silence worried him.
“Fuck , no answer.” He whispered.
“ Is that bad?” she barely breathed out. Her breath was starting to slow and had almost come back to normal. Stupid question, she thought.
Squawk - “Sam I’m here.” Izz finally replied.
“Bad guys came in ahead of schedule and we had to bug out south. Rally point is cut-off,” Sam said tersely. “Which way do you want me to go now?”
“You have the Doc?”
“Affirmative, she’s five by five.”
Emma could barely hear the voice in his earpiece but she was sure he had called her “The Doc.” She liked that they called her that, it made her feel strangely special. She had only overheard because they were so close together that his cheek pressed against hers, his whole body tight and solid up against her. His thigh was pressing slightly between her legs as he held her against the tree, making them as invisible as possible. He was tall, about six feet and slender but very muscular. The hard body of a man who didn’t go to the gym but lived by using every muscle in his body. She shifted slightly and what had been an incidental contact now became straight up his thigh rubbing her clit. Their eyes met and she arched her breasts into him.
“Got it,” he said, and it took her a moment to realize that he wasn’t actually talking to her. “It seems my colleagues are tied up and plan A just…”
BOOM !!! The ground and trees shook around her and she grabbed him tighter. He pressed her against the blade of the trunk so tightly that she struggled to breathe. “Oh my god,” she cried.
“ It’s ok, that was just my friends not making new friends,” he said as he tilted her chin up and looked straight into her wide chocolate eyes. “We have had a change of plan. We need to get moving. Right now.”
“Ok ,” she nodded. He pulled away and took her hand in his. “Stay as quiet as possible and don’t let go of my hand,” he said. She nodded again and they were off, swift and silent through the trees.
They had been running for ten minutes now and she was shocked to find that she was not yet winded. Apparently, adrenaline had kicked in and she was becoming part superhero now. She heard a faint “down” and then without any warning he stopped, grabbed her, and tackled her to the ground. He covered her with his body and whispered “shhhhhh.” The world was spinning and her head was thudding from the force of slamming into the ground.
S o much for superhero, she thought. She would have checked for bleeding but the fear pulsing through her stopped her from doing anything but closing her eyes and holding her breath. Not that she could have moved if she tried. She wasn’t even sure if she could breathe. His very large body was pressing her hard into the ground. She could feel every bulge of his body against her and it was amazing. It was actually a good thing she could not breathe because she might have moaned. Then she heard it. There were two of them, two… no crap, three men, walking in this direction. Her head was still pounding but she knew this was not good.
“ DO. NOT. MOVE.” he whispered into her ear as strenuously but kindly as possible. And with that, he slid his backpack on top of her and moved off. He was so heavy, she hadn’t been able to breathe so this should have been a relief, but as soon as he moved, she missed him and his body pressed against her. She reached for his hand, he leaned back to her ear, pressed him lips against it, and breathed “I will be right back baby”, and with the slightest kiss, he was gone. She squeezed her eyes shut and held her breath waiting for him… Please…
Sam did not like killing men, but he excelled at it, and for her he wouldn’t hesitate. For her, he thought, what the HELL is wrong with me? He slipped up behind the three targets. The moron in back wasn’t even paying
