kissed her head. Liza felt tears start to burn the backs of her eyes.
“Understand, Liza—you can set the pace from here on out. You decide where we’ll
live, pick the china, whatever you need to be comfortable. I’m an easy man to
get along with,” his head fell back on the pillows, “as long as you don’t say
no.
    “But there’s only one thing I’m taking a stand on right now,
though,” he continued.
    Liza stopped stroking his stomach, a slight nervousness rising
to the surface as she raised her head to look at his serious face. “What’s
that?”
    “I will never, ever wear a pug-print tuxedo.”
