Laying Claim to the Soul
weeks in there.”
“What do you care? She should be dead, then we wouldn’t have to worry about this anymore,” the thing next to Lilith stated and Tabatha knew he was not speaking any human language, but how?
“ You have part of me in you. We’ve been so worried. Even I haven’t been able to find you. Hold on I’ll be there soon,”Wol-itelm stated.
“I don’t have a death wish, she is a god’s mate. You kill one of them, you’ll have them all after you. At least the ceremony has been put off.”
This could not be right. Tabatha wrinkled her nose. “How can you stand to be in the same room with her? She stinks,” she said right before shifting, wolf form, surprising them all. Tabitha jumped off the table onto the floor where she once more changed, but this time into her demon form.
“I still can’t believe you actually gave birth to Chax. It’s amazing since he looks and smells nothing like you” Tabatha sneered, getting Lilith all riled up, but watching the other two as she moved away from them.
“You said she would be to out of it to change!” Chax’s mother inched closer to her, but stopped. It seemed all three of them froze on the spot for a few seconds, but all at once Lilith once more spun, sending crap all over the place even catching her two friends, which had them screaming at her as the all disappeared from the room.
Tabatha couldn’t hold it in any longer, she bent over, throwing up. From what they had said, she’d lost close to a month. Had she been dreaming? Tabatha had no way of knowing. It was as if a cloud was inside her head. Everything was foggy.
“Tabatha!” Wol-itelm yelled as he appeared, and went to touch her, but she held up her hand as her stomach rebelled again.
In an instant, she was clean and a warm blanket wrapped around her. Wol-itelm lifted her gently into his arms. “We thought we lost you,” he whispered into her hair.
“Take me home,” she wrapped her arms around him and held on tight. “I need all of you Wol-itelm. I want to be held.” Tabatha cried burying her head into his shoulder.
“Shh, I’ve got you.” Wol-itelm said rubbing her back as the ground disappeared.
She lifted her head up and they were at Wol-itelm’s home, the planet he had chosen for them. “Why are we here? I want to go back home.”
Sitting on the bed, he held her tight. “There have been changes, Tabby. Right now it’s not safe to take you below. Chax is looking for Hoyt. He left over a week ago. Soon, we’ll all be here and we’ll explain. How did you know this was my home?” he asked looking down at her.
“I swear I was here. You brought me here when you found out that I could shift to the white dragon. Did Chax and Hoyt break up with me?” she asked.
“What?” Chax yelled as he and Hoyt appeared in the room. “We would never!”
“You have been missing since you stormed off to your room over the child.” Wol-itelm told her
Tabatha glanced up at her men and cried. Hoyt was a mess, he had bruises on his face, he’d cut off half his dark hair and Chax’s long red hair was shoulder length. “No, why?” she stood and at once they were kneeing before her their arms around her.
“We thought you were gone, forgive us for giving up,” Hoyt said rubbing his cheek against her side.
She sucked in her breath and stiffened. “Were there others? Please tell me you didn’t find someone else?” Both men stood and surrounded their hands ran up and down her arms.
“NO! No one could replace you. We had each other, even though there were rough spots, we never brought another woman into your bed. Only you could fill that spot. Now why are you so cold?” Hoyt asked rubbing her arms looking over at Wol-itelm.
“They had her in what is called subspace. A planet called  Tremzs is involved with this since they are the only ones with this technology. Everything in her body was more or less frozen. No long term harm was done, but I am confused by your dreams.
