close to his back.
“I already called in sick,” she said, leaning her head against the back of his shoulder. “We’ve got plenty of time to figure out other ways to piss each other off. I’m not goin’ anywhere.”
“I wasn’t lettin’ you.”
He glanced over his shoulder to find her grinning at him. His own mouth stretched into a smile.
Her expression softened. “I think that’s another first. A genuine smile. You’re a handsome man, Johnny Logan.”
Johnny leaned back and waited. She leaned around him. The kiss she gave him was sweet. The nip she gave his bottom lip was sharp.
“Just so you don’t go thinkin’ I’m gonna be easy from here on out.”
“Baby, I’m not takin’ a thing for granted.”
They sat on the itchy carpet, staring at each other until Ellie’s eyelids dipped. “I’m not through playin’. You all right with that?”
Johnny grunted but nodded, happy she was enjoying herself. He nodded toward the kitchen door. “Those three probably have their ears to the door.”
“Well, they’re in the kitchen—they’re headed the right direction. Think they can rustle up something for us to eat? I’m starved. And since it looks like I’m the one who’s gonna be burnin’ the most calories, they can feed me.”
Chapter Six
Ellie felt a tug on her hair, and reached back to swat away the fingers as they pulled again. She muttered and snuggled deeper into the warmth surrounding her.
“Ellie.” The whisper was quiet but insistent.
She cracked open an eye to find Killian hovering over the bed.
He curled his fingers. “Come with me.”
She stretched, but arms enfolded her from behind. She was sandwiched between the sleeping twins. Johnny had left her with them sometime during the night to rest while he’d showered.
Killian offered his hand and pulled her up. The twins muttered and rolled to their backs. She spared a glance for each of them. They were beautiful, after all, and she’d had the pleasure of exploring their taut, toned bodies, one lick at a time. Even with their cocks softened, a lazy curl of heat stirred inside her.
A soft chuckle sounded. “We’ve created a monster.”
She gave him a baleful glance, noting for the first time that he was dressed. Had he come to take her home? She felt her face fall.
“Sweetheart, it’s not over. Come with me. Johnny and I have a surprise for you.”
Eager now, she slipped from the bed.
“Five minutes, then meet us on the porch.”
She hurried through a shower and dressed in her jeans and diner T-shirt. When she wandered through the living room toward the door, she heard a whinny.
Bemused, she slipped out the front door to find Killian and Johnny astride horses. Killian’s was red with a long flowing mane. Johnny’s was a pretty, splotched gray.
“You’re going riding?”
“ We’re going riding,” Killian said.
Johnny pulled on his reins, guiding his horse beside the steps, then he kicked free of his stirrup and held out his hand. “Step into the stirrup. I’ll pull you up behind me.”
She bit her lip and gave him a dubious look. “I’ve never been on a horse.”
The men shared a glance. Both smiled.
Johnny curled his fingers twice, a gesture she was tempted to tell the men might work better on a dog, but she kept her tart comment to herself, not wanting to spoil their surprise.
Taking a deep breath, she climbed down to the first step, then accepted his roughened hand while stepping into the stirrup. He pulled her up so fast, she gasped, swinging her leg instinctively over the back of the saddle and scooting closer so all of her ass was over the lip.
“It’s high up here,” she squeaked.
Johnny gave her a look over his shoulder that was at once reassuring but also managed to make her hot all over.
“I won’t let anything happen to you,” he said, his voice a rusty grumble.
She slid her hands around his waist and pressed herself close to his back. “I’ll hold you to that. So we’re
