know
how I like it, handsome.”
    Those words were
enough to convince Pat, who knew Jules could take the large length of him
without protest. Pat began to increase his thrusts, and with each thrust, he
sent Jules’s body shuddering and vibrating with pleasure. His cock inside Jules
felt indescribably right and wonderful.
    Both their beasts
had risen to their surface, metaphysically and intricately entwined together
like they were one complete soul. Never before had he felt so connected and
joined to someone like this. Not even with Desmond.
    And Desmond…Pat
ceased to hear Desmond’s voice anymore. The thought scared him for a while, but
then he remembered that Desmond would always have a place in his heart just
like Cole would always have a place in Jules’s heart. Sometimes, he even
thought that it was Cole and Desmond who brought their two lonely and broken
souls together.
    “I’m coming,” he
told Jules breathlessly.
    True to his word,
his last final thrust triggered his own release. Pat crested and exploded. It
was the most intense orgasm he’d ever felt. Tightly clutching Jules’s ass, he
emptied himself into his willing mate.
    Both his senses
and emotions reeled with the knowledge that he’d just been truly and fully
bonded with his new mate. Complete. That was the word Pat had been looking for.
He felt complete.
    He sank onto the
carpeted floor beside Jules in relief. A sense of contentment filled him as he
curled comfortably against the sweat-soaked, warm skin of his mate. The
gorgeous fiend only grinned sheepishly at him.
    “You’re mine now,
and I’m yours,” Pat whispered later on when he and Jules were finally tucked in
warmly in some of the blankets Jules managed to find.
“Yeah. No getting rid of me now, you hear?” Jules’s words tickled against
his ear.

    They were too lazy
to retire to the soft sheets of his bed, but nestled in both Jules and the
blankets, Pat could hardly feel the hard floor beneath him.
    “I wouldn’t dream
of it.” Pat felt the other man expel a sigh of relief as he cuddled closer to
him. “After our honeymoon period, we have to settle some things with Carlos and
Derrick.”
    Jules groaned
behind him. “You don’t have to remind me!”
    “I’m just telling
you what you’re in for,” Pat said carefully.
    Jules paused
behind him and familiar fear crept into Pat’s heart, the fear that Jules would
simply decide to get up and leave him because it was too much trouble being
together.
    “Sure. I’ll handle
whatever that buffed, pretty buffoon can dish out,” Jules scoffed, making Pat
laugh.
    “I’ll tell Derrick
you called him a buffed and pretty buffoon,” Pat pointed out.
    “You wouldn’t! And
speaking of Derrick, you have me now if you need someone to talk to.”
    Pat rather liked
the overprotective tone in his mate’s voice.
    “Pat, would you
turn to me? I have something to say,” Jules hesitantly said. Curious, Pat
turned so they were now facing each other, their noses nearly touching.
    “I promise you
that I’ll always be there for you. I’ll stay by your side for as long as you
want me,” Jules said so solemnly that Pat couldn’t believe those words were
coming out of his mouth.
    Jules was looking
deep into him when he said those words, his brilliant eyes intense and
uncommonly serious. They brought a sense of comfort Pat didn’t realize he
craved. Some part of him, the insecure part of him that was afraid Jules would leave him, needed to hear that.
    “That was rather
cheesy.” Pat savored the shock that momentarily appeared on Jules’s features.
Then his new mate began to laugh, his entire body convulsing.
    Finally he
stopped, and met his gaze again. “Pat, I want you to know I mean every word
I’ve said. This is the till-death-do-us part. If you’re having any second
thoughts or reservations—”
    Pat gave him a
deep and bruising kiss.
    “Whoa. What was
that for?”
    Pat only repeated
what Jules told him in the woods: “you done
