to keep both of us secure.” She laid her head on his shoulder as he wrapped both arms around her.

He held her tightly. “I’m always safe; I told you to stop worrying about me.”

“I can’t help it,” she said as tears misted her eyes. “Gavin tried to kill you; I can’t get it out of my head. I am so afraid to lose you. I love you so much…and this is just not some ordinary love. I hated you so much that I now truly appreciate my love for you. I cannot lose you, Julian!”

“You’ll never lose me. I’ll be by your side until the day that I die,” he assured her, “you’ll never get rid of me.”

“I don’t want to get rid of you.”

“Leave the worrying to me.” He kissed her lips gently.

    ***

Julian lay next to Heaven. She had intertwined her body with his, and it felt so soft against his that he thought he would ejaculate on the spot. He could feel her nipple against his chest. He tried to zone it out and focus on getting to sleep, but he couldn’t. Her soft, even breathing was like a whisper to him, begging him to touch her. He crept out of the bed and went straight to the bathroom.

He attempted self-ejaculation, but he couldn’t ejaculate. It was if his sperm decided to hold back until they were inside of her. He tried everything, but nothing worked. His attempts only made his condition worse and made him want Heaven even more. He might as well be impotent if he weren’t inside her.

He walked back into the bedroom to see her spread across the bed. He whimpered as he walked to the bed. He was torn—part of him wanted to jump in the bed and hold her close, while the other part cringed at the thought.

    ***

The following night proved to be almost intolerable for Julian. Heaven, on the other hand, was feeling much better.

“How do you feel?” he asked, running his hand down her cheek.

“I have a slight headache, and I’m still a little shaken up. Even a little nervous but strangely, I’m also a bit happy.”

    “Happy?”

“That we’re alive, that Gavin’s gone and the saboteur is gone. Our life starts now. We just survived a traumatic situation. You know, like that horror film where people are subjected to horrific, life-threatening situations in order to appreciate what they already have. I know it’s morbid and semi-twisted, but that’s how I feel. I feel brand new! I want to do everything that I refused to do before. I want to eat chocolate until I puke. I want to quit working out; I want to run around the house naked; I want to jump out of a plane and go bungee jumping, but most of all I want to have nonstop sex you.”

“You need to get some rest; that medicine made you loopy.” He pushed the tendrils back from her face as she yawned and stretched.

He flinched when he noticed her round breasts pressing against the fabric of her nightgown.

“I don’t need to rest; you’re the one who needs to rest. I’ll rest if you rest with me,” she said as she tugged on his arm.

“Let me check the door." He tried to stand, but she grabbed him.

“It’s locked, we already double-checked it.” She tugged him down next to her. “Just lay with me for a little while. You need to rest.”

He couldn’t resist her soft tone. Nor could he resist the way her body felt against his. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close.

“Just for a minute,” he whispered as he smoothed the hair back from her face.

Even though Heaven protested that she wasn’t the least bit tired, she promptly fell asleep.

Julian held her as she slept. Being near her these last few days had been hard, but this was pure torture. She was getting healthy and becoming more like herself. He was having more and more difficulty resisting. He wanted to touch her; he wanted to strip her down and kiss every inch of her body in appreciation. He wanted to embed himself deep inside of her and not let go until
