I'm floating through space with the alien I know only as "Harry."
I've been attacked, I've been kidnapped, and I've been at the edge of death.
I've swallowed merman sperm to breathe underwater.
    I've looked for hidden treasure.
I've run further than I ever thought possible.
I've felt lonelier than I ever dreamed.
And I love every second of it.
I don't know how long I've been on Harry's ship. I really don't. When I first arrived, I kept track, like a good little prisoner. That's what I was, after all: a prisoner. He captured me, saved me from a vicious attack on Earth, and stole me away to his ship. He rescued me, but I didn't have a choice.
And I can't go back, not yet.
But after we captured Harry's four-legged former lover, Mira, and after we obtained the Key of Bleoi, things slowed down. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. We stopped at many different planets and had many different experiences. I ate weird food and fucked weird creatures and now I'm back on the ship of the weirdest creature of all: Harry.
    He mystifies me.
How he does what he does day after day astonishes me.
He's spent years of his life seeking this key so he can unlock the Tomb of Ealo and be the one who gets this unimaginable treasure.
    Now that's dedication.
    That's patience.
    That's a skill I fear I may never have, but that's okay.
I'm learning, one day at a time, that life isn't what we expect it to be.
    It's so much better.

"Where are we stopping today?" I ask Harry, stroking his hairless chest. He's snuggling me in my bed, in my chambers, letting me rest my head against him. It's more intimate than I'm used to being. Yes, we sleep together, but we don't often snuggle after.
Then again, weirder things have happened.
"Ulexi," he says, not offering further information. I'm not offended at this the way I used to be. When I first boarded the ship, I often thought Harry was short with me. Now I know it's just how he is. Maybe it's an alien thing or maybe it's just him, but he doesn't often give me more information than I actually need.
"What kind of planet is Ulexi?" I ask, wondering if it's an island planet or a heat planet. Maybe it's a world made entirely of water. Maybe it's a world of snow. We've been to so many different places together that now, many of them are starting to blur. It's a pity, really, and part of me regrets that I didn't start journaling when I boarded the ship. It would be nice to have a record of all the places we've been together.
As it is, all I have are fading memories.
"It's similar to Earth, actually," he says. I'm surprised. We haven't been many places that remind me of home. “There are lakes and hills, forests and plains.”
“What do you like best about Ulexi?”
    At this, he smiles.
“The women,” he grins. “They look like humans.” Harry winks and grabs me as I playfully punch him.
“Don’t worry,” I say. “I’ll share any pretty ones with you.”
At this, Harry wraps his arms around me.
“We aren’t just going to Ulexi for fun,” he says.
“What are we going for? Shoes? Shopping? Amazing food?”
“Something better,” he says, climbing out of bed and stretching. “We’re meeting with Elia, the best spy on the planet.”
    “Why?”
“Elia is incredible. She’s going to help us locate Tomb of Ealo. She’s going to help us find the treasure.”
I can’t help but smile as I stand up to join Harry and wrap my arms around him. Leaning up, I reach forward to kiss him. We’re finally doing it. After all this time, I’ve begun to feel like the treasure is as much a part of my life goals as it is of Harry’s, and now, after all this time searching, we’re getting close.
    Now it’s within reaching distance.
Harry’s mouth meets mine in a kiss. He parts my lips with his tongue and slowly, teasingly, starts to explore my mouth. He’s been doing this for months, but still it feels new. Still it feels fresh. Still is feels tantalizing and
