business men,” Vegas said with a broad smile.
Jackson would have smacked him in return, but there was the matter of being tied by his wrists. “You gotta admit, in the heat of the moment, it is kind of hot. Overdone a bit. It’s all in the delivery.”
“Big breath,” Vegas said, and Jackson obeyed as Vegas eased out of him. “I have to say, the coy supersubmissive thing is definitely a different side for you. You’re usually the cool, sexy, rebellious-boyfriend type, fucking sweet boys.”
“You like it?” Jackson asked as Vegas set him on his feet. “It just sort of happened.”
Vegas turned him slowly to untie his wrists. “It is pretty hot. Definitely gets me in just the right spot.” He patted Jackson’s ass.
Jackson smirked and hobbled over to his discarded jeans as Vegas did the same. “Well. I’d have to say that was the best five minutes of my life,” he said, slipping into his jeans.
“It’s an art,” Vegas said, retying his bandanna in his hair, his full-body tattoos fading away. “Now I have mouths to feed. And we have money to make.” He turned toward the walk-in door. “Make sure you wash your hands before returning to work. I don’t want to write you up for disorderly conduct and fucking your boss.”
Jackson snorted. “Since when are you my boss? We share this place fifty-fifty.”
Vegas’s eyes sparked brighter. “Since you belong to me,” he said in a demonic tone.
Jackson flipped him the bird. “Go make your pies.”
Shrugging, Vegas turned the handle on the walk-in door.
    It didn’t move.
    Vegas tried again.
    It still didn’t move.
    “Jackson,” Vegas said, concerned.
Jackson picked up on the slight panic. “Yeah.”
    “We’re locked in.”
“ What ?” Jackson rushed to the door and tried the handle. “Nononono!” He pounded on the door. “The baby! Ennis and Cillian have the baby!”
Together they banged on the door, screaming for help. Jackson wasn’t a praying man by any stretch of the imagination, but he thought a little divine intervention wouldn’t hurt.
“Please, God. Please. Open this damned door!” Jackson barked.
The door popped open with an easy swing. And they froze, looking at each other.
“Who knew that would work for us, y’know?” Vegas asked with a lopsided grin.
As they eased the door open, Jeshebet sat before them. She clapped her little hands and giggled.
Jackson darted forward and scooped her up from the floor. He held her close. “Oh god, sweetie, where’s Ennis? Are you okay?” He bounced with her. “It’s okay, sweetie, it’s okay. Daddy’s got you.”
“Daddy?” Vegas asked with a lopsided grin. “Really?” He hung back a safe distance.
Jackson’s stomach knotted. “Well, I didn’t want to say anything at first. I just really like her, y’know.” His lip trembled. “And no one’s come forward.” He wiped at his eye with his thumb. “And some idiot threw her away like she was a piece of garbage. I really want to keep her. She’s mine.”
    Vegas went quiet.
Jackson took a breath. “I know. It’s stupid. I got too attached to her.”
“I think we should,” Vegas said, and Jackson turned to face him, wide-eyed.
“What? But she hates you,” Jackson said, his voice wavering.
Vegas shrugged. “She’ll grow out of it. I hope so, anyway.” He came closer to them, and Jackson tensed up, waiting for the inevitable scream.
Jeshebet squealed in excitement and reached out to Vegas. “Ah-pah,” she burbled. “Ah-pah!”
Jackson shook his head. “Is she saying something?”
    “Ah-pah! Ah-pah!” Jeshebet insisted.
Vegas smirked and tentatively extended his arms. “Well?”
Jackson bit his lip and then resigned himself to Jeshebet screeching as he set her in Vegas’s arms. He braced for the infernal wailing.
She giggled and wiggled in Vegas’s arms.
Vegas gasped, as if he were a first-time father seeing his own biological child. “She’s beautiful,” he croaked. “Hey, pretty
