customers moving at the periphery of her vision. Pressure was building and her core tightened, her womb growing heavy in the moments before release.
Then Owen moved the toe of his shoe around her calf and lifted her leg. Grasping her beneath the table, he put his hand around her ankle and rested the heel of her shoe on the seat between his thighs. When he began stroking his hand up and down the back of her calf, she doubted her ability to stay quiet a moment longer, and brought her fingers to her mouth.
As her orgasm built she bit down on one knuckle, using the pain to focus her on withholding the cry of release that would otherwise be echoing around their banquette and beyond. Release barrelled through her. She slumped back against the seat, her thighs shuddering.
Alec carefully rearranged her underwear, and removed his hand. To her utter mortification, he drew his hand to his lips, and licked his fingers. Across the table, Owen chuckled darkly. She had to close her eyes and press her head back against the banquette, because her whole world was spinning.
The waiter arrived with their food moments after she managed to get her skirt back into place. The waiter was familiar to her and he looked over at her longer than he normally would when he served her. Instinctively, she tidied her hair and wondered how flushed and aroused she looked. It didn’t bear thinking about. The people she worked with every day would definitely notice a difference if she carried on like this. Straightening her spine she nodded and thanked him.
Thankfully, the mood returned to somewhere near normal for a business lunch as they began to eat. Monica found she was ravenous, and her club sandwich had never tasted so good. Alec had ordered a hot chicken and bacon salad, and Owen had a steak and onion baguette. As always, the food was delicious.
“I spent the morning in accounts,” Alec said conversationally. He directed the statement to Monica. “Interesting team you’ve got up there.”
Monica wondered what he was getting at, but luckily Owen stepped into the conversation.
“I missed out on that. Anything I should be aware of?”
Alec was about to speak, then paused. He obviously didn’t want to say it in front of her. It felt rather awkward, and Monica knew it was because of her.

“Seems very efficient,” Alec commented, eventually. “You’ll have to visit before we depart.”
Mention of their departure made her heart sink. Owen seemed to notice, and he reacted. Pushing his plate aside, he reached inside his jacket pocket.
“I brought a gift for you.” He put a long slim velvet box on the table. It looked like the sort of thing that came from a jeweller.
“What is it?” She felt uncomfortable about accepting a gift from them.
“A token reminder of last night.” He shrugged lightly and ran his finger along the top of the box. “Or a promise of things to come, perhaps?” He opened the box and turned it to face her.
Inside laid a delicate bracelet, not dissimilar to a charm bracelet. However, the catch was styled from a pair of miniature handcuffs. A promise of things to come? When she didn’t move, he lifted the bracelet out and leaned across the table to put it around her wrist. She tried not to flinch.
“I thought you would be able to wear it quite discreetly, with the fastening on the inside, so it would serve as a private reminder.”
    “You think of everything.”
“You better believe it.” After he’d done up the fastening he rested his fingers on it, pressing the miniature handcuffs against the soft inside of her wrist, marking her with their impression.
Sexual energy began to surge into her even though he was only touching her wrist, but she couldn’t pull her hand away, because he’d locked his gaze with hers and she saw such suggestion there that for a crazy moment she wanted to feel every ounce of his sexual power. When she gasped aloud, Owen’s eyebrows drew together and he studied her with
