when she’d finally gotten a look at herself in a mirror at
the award show. She had to admit, Griffin’s team did good work.
            “You
lied about my ankle,” he said as she turned to look at him. His expression was
a combination of lust and exhaustion.
            “Did
I lie about your work ethic?” She moved to pick up the shoes.
            The
moment she bent over he said, “How am I supposed to concentrate with you in
your underwear, Frankie?”
            She
tossed his words back at him. “Well, Jonas, sometimes we’ll have to have
professional conversations in various states of undress. Can you handle that?”
            He
sighed loud and long. “I guess I have to. Unless.”
            She
looked at him and he was biting his lip. She knew instantly he was up to no
good. A slight thrill shot through her. Everything that had cooled from the
phone call reignited with just a look. “Unless what?”
            “I
don’t think I can get out of this tux without help,” he said innocently.
            “You
got in that tux by yourself.” Frankie tried not to laugh as she pulled the pins
out of her hair letting the sections fall.
            “Well
my ankle is really…”
            “Don’t
you dare! ” Frankie could feel her eyes grow wide. He
laughed and began walking away from her.
            “Follow
me or feel bad for leaving me in pain after you tossed a heavy metal statue at
my nuts.” He turned the corner and started for the stairs.
            Now
her mouth hung just as wide as her eyes. Part of her wanted to strangle him,
the other part of her wanted to rip off his clothes and fuck him like there was
no tomorrow. However, there was a tomorrow, so she needed to figure out what
would keep any extra activities on her terms and not part of payroll. After
all, she was his assistant not his hooker.
            Frankie
looked at the phone. It was after midnight. She had to be in this very house at
six in the morning to walk Ish . Resistance was
futile. She had a plan. It was a plan that would take care of her boss and some
of her own selfish needs.
            She
looked at his back and realized he had taken off the jacket and the bowtie was
on the bed. Frankie took a deep breath and said, “I thought you wanted help with
that?”
            He
turned a fraction to look at her. He faced the bed again and said, “I do. But,
I don’t want you to come in here out of obligation. I started thinking about
what you said on the phone. I do take my work seriously. I do need someone like
you taking care of things for me. I don’t want you to do something you might
regret in the morning. I don’t want to lose you.”
            “I
suppose it’s a good thing it’s already morning…” Frankie whispered as she took
cautious steps towards him. He wasn’t promising her anything other than her
job. She knew she could mix business and pleasure. She had done it before out
of boredom and base need. The real question was, could he?
            She
slid her hands around his torso to unbutton the final buttons on his shirt. His
hands worked quickly unfastening his belt, his button, the zipper.  The
sound of the metal teeth unhinging made her eager to move faster, but she
refused. The crisp material reminded her of how expensive the suit was. Each
smooth button seduced her fingers as she slid them free. After pulling the
material from his shoulders she carefully folded it and placed it on the bed
next to the bowtie. He pulled the form fitting t-shirt he still had on over his
head, tossing it inconsequentially across the room towards the bathroom.
            Frankie
traced the length of his spine from the nape of his neck to the waist of his
pants. “Turn around.”
            As
he turned, she knelt, her fingers taking his slacks with her. This close she
could feel the heat radiating from his body, smell the warmth
