back at her sister, puzzled. I wish the fuck her little ass think she would! I don’t know what’s on her mind!
Kessia ran down the stairs with a painting in her hand, smiling happily to see her mother. Keisha met her at the end of the stairs with open arms. The two hugged each other tight, each not wanting to let the other go.
Big Pope Dog asked to use the restroom.
Completely bothered and confused, Ryan pointed him to it. Why this bitch tripping, though? Ryan pondered stopping Poo Baby in her tracks to ask her what was going on.
“Before I drag yo’ homegirl outside and show her ass who the big sister is, can you please explain to me what’s on her rabbit-ass mind?” Ryan was pissed to the utmost.
Poo Baby sighed. “We been trying to contact you since yesterday, Ryan. Why you out here fucking up? Your sister needs you more than anything right now,” she stated seriously.
“Oh! So that’s what this is all about?” Ryan spoke loudly, looking in her sister direction. Hand on her hip, Ryan continued. “Kessia, why don’t you tell yo’ mommy what happened to Auntie Ryan’s phone before we have us a sister talk outside.” Ryan rolled her eyes at Keisha and Poo Baby and then grabbed her cigarettes, preparing to step out the door. Bitch think she bad, hmm? I’ll dog walk her ass! Ryan fumed at her sister’s disrespect to her. She had been hanging on to her sobriety for months.
Inside, Kessia explained how after talking to Poo Baby on her Auntie Ryan’s phone days earlier, she accidentally dropped it in the toilet while Ryan was brushing her teeth. Keisha felt like shit and it showed on her face.
“She didn’t remember your number by heart so we couldn’t call you on her new phone to give you her new number, and great-grand told my auntie that something was real fishy, ” Kessia continued to explain.
Damn, I went hard on my sister for nothing. Keisha stood up and asked where her grandmother was at.
“She went out to the grocery store. We’re going to make a pie from scratch.” Kessia jumped into Poo Baby’s arms and told her how much she missed her.
Keisha excused herself. She wanted to go in the bathroom to get high and then go out and apologize to her sister. Her mind was heavy and full of anxiety and worry.
Inside the bathroom, Keisha neatly laid out the lines of cocaine and then quickly snorted all three of them with her alias California identification card. The burning sensation caused Keisha to squeeze her nostrils as her ears buzzed. When she heard her grandmother walk inside complaining about the thugs in front of her house, Keisha rinsed her face, washed her hands, and started out of the bathroom.
“Look who’s here!” Keisha spread her arms to hug her grandmother. “Hi, G-Ma.” Keisha hugged her grandmother with large, gleaming eyes.
“Oh, Pudding, I’m so happy to see you!” She dropped her grocery bags on the carpet and then held and observed her granddaughter. She immediately noticed her daughter’s physical condition. She had bags under her eyes, she had gotten thin to the point that the bones in her neck were showing, and on top of that, her hair and physical appearance weren’t at her usual status. Something isn’t right here. Grandma Ethel stepped back for a full overview of her granddaughter.
A look of dissatisfaction began to spread across Keisha’s face. Fuck, not right now, G-Ma! I just fucking got here. Keisha began to fix her ponytail and straighten her clothes out.
“Are you alright, Pudding? Looks like you haven’t been eating or taking care of yourself.” “I’ve been sick missing my kids - I mean, my daughter. That’s all, Grandma,” Keisha stuttered, remembering that her grandmother or daughter weren’t informed of her son. She knew she would never hear the end of her grandmother’s mouth about it and she wanted to introduce Kessia to her brother when they were all back together again.
Grandma Ethel sighed. “I’m sure you do, baby. But you
