would kissing her without Adrian there be all right with the other male? Guess he didn’t have to worry about that. From behind him he heard, “Kiss her already, before I do.”
    He wanted to be gentle with her. He wasn’t sure why. She looked like she liked it rough, and she surely wasn’t afraid of him. Slowly, he lowered his lips to hers, still keeping both hands firmly around her neck. The kiss might have been gentle, but the feel of her slender neck under his huge palms was too much to give up. His lips landed on hers, and a jolt of lightening hit him, knocking his breath out of his body. He couldn’t do gentle anymore. He tightened his grip on her throat and pushed her up higher on the wall of the shower.
    She was right against one of the lower showerheads, and he knew it was digging into her back. He didn’t care. She had pushed him, and now he was going to take it to the end just as hard as her fragile human body could take it. He had seen her back through the shower door before he said anything, and miraculously it was completely healed.
    He knew she was fine. Not only could he feel her need and arousal from anywhere in the world, but if she were in pain, he would be able to feel that, too, and need to help her. He could shield himself from her to make it easier. If he couldn’t feel all her emotions, he wouldn’t be so distracted by her. But he wanted to feel her and know where she was, what she was doing, and with whom. His kind was also able to shield themselves from those they had fed from, but he wasn’t sure if he could teach the human to do that or if he even wanted to. The only thing they couldn’t shield was their location, which came in handy sometimes when one of his brothers that had fed from him was injured and needed help. The only reason they all carried locators on them was so they could be triggered if they were in trouble. They could be located quicker. She hadn’t technically fed from him. They had given her his blood by transfusion, but apparently the effects were the same. If she was a vampire, too, and he took her blood, she would be able to feel his emotions, too, but since she was human he didn’t think it would work that way. He was ready to find out, though. He had smelled her blood when she was hurt, and his fangs ached to taste her. He knew he had to wait then, but now that she was healed he needed to taste her. Soon.
    Adrian watched him as Nikkos held the little human up by her neck against the wall. Her feet weren’t even touching the ground. He could feel Adrian ’s worry but Nikkos would not hurt her any more than he would physically hurt Adrian . Nikkos lifted his head and looked down at her. He could tell his eyes were glowing again.
    “Do your eyes always do that?”
    He didn’t answer her, just said, “You wanna do this here or in the bedroom?”
    “Define ‘this.’”
    “You asked for a kiss. Sorry, but I can’t stop at just a kiss. I’m gonna be inside you as soon as I can get these clothes off, so decide now, here or in the bed?”
    “Well you better keep your clothes on a little longer, cuz I’m gonna enjoy this gorgeous shower a little before you get what you want.”
    Like that was going to happen. His hands tightened even more around her neck. “I know you did not just tell me no.”
    He could tell she had to fight for air a little. “No, I didn’t say no. I just said you would have to wait awhile. I have an idea, why don’t you two go in the bedroom and start without me, and I’ll join you when I’m done in here.”
    Adrian stepped up beside Nikkos . “Sorry, not gonna happen, you’re going with us right now, or we’re taking you right here in the shower.”
    She just looked at him from under her lashes, grinning like she was sweet and innocent. He looked at Nikkos . “Let’s go. Bring her now.”
