she laughed.
“Can we talk about it later?” she asked.
“Yeah, but I’m bringing your bag with me. You can bring your car if you want or ride with me.”
“I want my own car, ” she said and walked past him.
“See you at work.” She heard him say as she was walking away. “Darling, I really don't want you mad at me.”
Jennifer pushed the button for the elevator. “I don’t like to be ordered what to do. I get enough of that from my dad. I don’t need it from you.” He touched her shoulder.
“Darling they are my babies too. I want all three of you safe. You all are mine now.” Phoenix spun Jennifer around. He placed his forehead against hers. “Do you understand me?” She stared deep into his eyes and knew that it was too late. She had fallen in love with this incubus.
“Yeah, I understand.” He smiled and gave her a kiss on her nose.

Chapter Seven

The elevator beeped and he grabbed her hand. She looked down at their intertwined fingers and smiled. They fit perfectly together and every way. “I think we should keep our relationship to ourselves at the office. The women gossip enough about me, I don’t need to add fuel to the fire.” She looked at him and she was stunned.
“ You're ashamed of me?” He shook his head.
Phoenix let go of her hand and grabbed her face. “Darling I’m not ashamed, I just want to keep my personal life personal. I want to keep you to myself.”
She couldn’t keep a thought straight when he was looking at her like that. “What am I going to say to people when I’m showing?” He lifted her chin.
“You don’t have to work; I will take care of you.” She didn’t want that and never would.
“No, I want to work.” He smiled and nodded .
“Then we'll figure so mething out.” The elevator beeped again when they reached the parking level. “Now, I will see you at work.” He leaned in one last time and he kissed her. She allowed him to take her into his arms. He deepened the kiss and she moaned into his mouth. He pulled away. When she opened her eyes he was smiling at her. “I don’t know how I’m going to work without touching you. I thought pants would be better for you to wear, but after seeing your ass, I am so very wrong.” She loved knowing that she affected him this way.
“Maybe if you're lucky you'll get to pick up where we had to leave off.” She laughed as his mouth dropped open. “See you soon, sex god.” As she walked away she swayed her hips because she knew he was watching her.
“Dear God, I really am in trouble. I will be having you, darling bef ore this day is over.” She laughed and got in her car; she couldn’t wait for him to follow through with his threat. She watched a black SUV pull up and Phoenix stepped into it.
The whole way to the office the SUV was behind her. She thought it was kind of cute how protective he was of her. She got out of her car and he was waiting for her.
“If we go in with each other, won't p eople think something?” she asked and he smiled.
“I already made a scene when I couldn’t get a hold of you. And then most of the office watched m e storm out to get you.” He put his hand on her back and led her into the elevator.
“Won't people th ink something then?” She saw him smiling in the mirrored walls of the elevator.
“Darling, they probably thought I was going to fire you. I didn’t act like a worried boyfriend I act ed like an angry boss.” He took his hand away from her as they got closer to their floor. “When we get there I want you to set your purse down and then meet me in my office. I saw Max's car out there, so he will be waiting for us.”
Jennifer was nervous and happy. She want ed to know what she was, but prayed that she wasn't a monster. Phoenix walked out and every eye was on him. Jennifer sighed and stepped out. As she walked by the other desk, the other workers looked down. She did what Phoenix told her and put her
