I have an unfair advantage now,” she bit her lip.
“Use it,” he whispered, “I’m taking care of you.”
He kissed her once more on the lips and bent down and picked up his mobile. “And the only reason I didn’t give you the day off is I want to see you again this afternoon.” He winked. “See you later.”
He left the front door and it slowly closed behind him. Annabel stood in his empty palace of an apartment alone and looked around. She found her bag on the table in the front room and checked her phone. Laura had text her asking her where she was. She turned it off and made her way to the front door. She could have easily stayed and made herself at home but she knew if she went home, took a shower and went back to work not feeling so worn out she would be ready for Dexter later that day.
As she stepped out onto the street it was a stunning spring day, the sun shone down on her and all she could do was smile.

By the time Annabel set foot in Crown House that afternoon she felt reborn. She had a skip in her step and she couldn’t shake the smile from her face. It wasn’t just that she had gotten laid and it had been incredible. She felt like a different person to what she had been the day before. Dexter had brought something out in her that was new and exciting. She sat down at her desk and flicked through Jed’s mail. As she turned to pull herself in closer she noticed instantly that there was a black envelope sitting on top of her keyboard. She picked it up and turned it over in her hands. On the front in silver ink it simply said; Miss A. Winter .
Annabel opened it and pulled out an ornate and very expensive looking invitation. It was black and dramatic and she felt her heart race as she read the elaborately written words in big swopping letters.

The Slade Foundation cordially invite you to attend their annual black tie ball at the Museum of Natural History, London.
    Friday 10 th April 2015 at 7pm.

Annabel’s heart fluttered, she had an invitation to one of the hottest events on London’s social calendar. Her mouth gaped open. When she had been googling Dexter she had read about how once a year his family held a huge ball at an iconic London landmark to celebrate the beginning of Spring and to raise money for their favourite charities. Last year it had been held at Tower Bridge and now here they were taking over the Natural History Museum. Annabel hadn’t been there since she was a child but she had always loved it and she remembered the grandeur of the place and the amazing entrance hall. She bit her lip and was about to pick up her desk phone when it rang.
“I have a dress for you,” It was Dexter.
“How do you know I don’t have plans?” she teased.
“Cancel them,” he said and she could tell he was smiling.
“I’ll be outside your apartment at 6:45pm,” he said.
“But what about the dress?” she giggled.
“Come out naked under your coat and I’ll put you in it,” he whispered, “I can’t wait to get my hands on you again.”
The line went dead. Annabel’s mouth gaped open. Did she really dare do this? Before she had too much time to even think about the world she was being pulled into Jed burst through the door with a stack of files and a coffee.
“This is for you,” he passed her the take out cup, “I heard you were up all night and Mr Slade stole you from me,” he quipped, “Thank you for stepping in and helping him, I think you made a good impression, not like him to offer someone time off in lieu.”
“Oh it was nothing,” Annabel smiled, “I was happy to
