help.”
“Well sorry to throw all this at you,” he dropped the files in front of her, “But the tax year is over and the new one is on us, we’ve got a bit to get through that’s still straggling.”
“No problem,” Annabel smiled, “I’m on it,” she opened the first folder and pulled her pen out from behind her ear. Jed thanked her and went through to his office. The second the door closed Annabel broke out in a huge smile again. A good impression , she thought, if only he knew …

    Chapter Thirteen

At 6:40pm Annabel stood looking out of her window. She had left the office early and taxied home so she could get ready for Dexter coming to collect her. She had done as he asked and was naked underneath her big black overcoat. The only thing she had had to worry about was making sure that her make-up was perfect. So she didn’t feel so bare she had chosen a simple set of small diamond earrings and a bright red lipstick as her accessories, with a simple small black clutch. As the clock ticked next to her she felt her nerves start to kick in. She couldn’t wait to see him again. As she stood at her open window and saw the stretched blacked out limousine pull round the corner she knew it was him. The light in her street was perfect and it lit up the road making it look gold, the blossom from the trees was in full bloom as the limo crawled slowly to a stop in front of her building the back window slowly went down. Annabel felt on the edge of the earth waiting to see him.
“Good evening Miss Winter,” Dexter leaned forward, peering out of the back window and smiling up at her. She smiled back and turned on her heel, she locked her front door and walked down the corridor and stairs to the front of her Victorian and out onto the street. She kept her hands firm on the belt of the coat, terrified it would somehow open or fall off exposing her to the entire road and flashing her neighbours. She found herself smiling at the thought and as she approached the door to the limousine Dexter got out to meet her and held it open for her. He looked fantastic in a tuxedo. She didn’t think it was possible for him to look any more of a refined gentleman than he did in his suits during the day, but seeing him in black tie took it to a whole new level. As she reached his side he brushed her hair behind her ear.
“I hope you’re naked under that coat,” he whispered. Annabel looked up at him and he planted a soft kiss on her cheek.
They climbed into the back of the limo and Annabel looked nervously around, to her relief ahead of them the screen was up so the driver wouldn’t be able to see them. On a hanger up at the window was her dress. A beautiful black backless floor length gown that took her breath away.
“When I saw it, I knew it was the one,” Dexter said taking her hand and squeezing it. Annabel turned to him and kissed him. Even though they had only really spent one full night together she felt as if he knew her completely. He seemed to be able to read her better than she could even read herself. She sat back and undid the belt from around the waist of her coat, as she slipped it off Dexter’s mouth dropped open and he exhaled. He helped her slip the coat off and ran his fingertips up her legs and over her shoulders.
“God,” he whispered, “The things you do to me.” He squeezed her thigh and kissed her, she could see he was hard already, his huge manhood sticking up proudly between his legs. Just being there with him, in the back of the limousine would have been enough for her. She wished they didn’t have to go to the ball but at the same time she was intrigued as to what and who would be there. She opened her eyes and touched Dexter’s cheek, he was getting carried away and she knew they were only moments
