Rebound
veggies and small red potatoes
to roast. I found some pre-frozen salmon in the freezer, the
package instructing to thaw in cold water, which I did. I pulled at
drawers and cabinets to find the herbs and spices. Everything was
so neat and organized.
I set to prepare roasted veggies and
potatoes by peeling, dicing and drizzling olive oil, adding a touch
of salt and pepper and the dried herbs. I put that into the
preheated oven and let the stainless steel convection oven do its
magic.
Once the salmon was thawed in the
package, I coated with olive oil and salt and pepper. Left it for
twenty minutes so that the seasoning worked its way in. I found a
cast iron pan in one of the drawers. I pan seared the salmon. Set
aside. I took the capers that I found in the fridge, lemon, butter
and used the drippings to make a sauce for the fish. Once that was
done, I put the sauce in a bowl. I put the fish back in the pan and
into the oven, pulling out the roasted veggies. I divided the
veggies into two plates. After seven minutes in the oven, I pulled
out the salmon. Done to perfection and served over the
veggies.
I looked at the time. It was now 12:36
p.m., and I wasn’t sure when he’d come back. I put the two plates
in the warming drawer and turned it on low, hoping that the salmon
wouldn’t dry out.
I cleaned up and put everything away
as best as I could remember. At 1:00 p.m. I decided to sit and
watched TV and wait. Despite munching on some veggies, I was still
hungry, but didn’t want to ruin my appetite. I’d put effort in
making a meal for him, and I wanted to enjoy it with
him.
I found the TV remote, turned it on
and flipped channels until I found a comedic film. I pulled the
blanket over my legs, and laid down to get comfy.

I felt a strong hand press on my
shoulder and heard my name. As I awoke, Dashing was kneeling beside
me, the most beautiful smile on his face.
“ Hi.” He said with a grin.
“You stayed.” He caressed my jaw with his fingers.
I took time to respond, “You asked me
to. Did you think that I was going to run away?” I turned to take
in my surroundings. “What time is it?” I asked, looking outside the
window.
    “ It’s after two. I’m sorry
that I got back so late. I was asked to consult on an ER patient. I
tried to call you, but your phone went straight to
voicemail.”
“ It may have shut down.
I’ve not charged it since yesterday morning. How did you have my
number?”
    “ Perla, I’m your doctor. I
have all your contact info.”
I made the quick decision to ignore
the slightly creepy statement and not ask any further questions. I
asked, “Are you hungry? I made lunch.”
“ You did? What did you
make?” His smile was a mixture of surprise and glee.
    “ Salmon and veggies. I’ll
go warm it up.” I put my feet down off the couch. My shin still
ached. I took a moment to get up. He stood up and offered me his
hand. The most amazing part of him was his chivalry.
    “ Thank you”, I said
putting my hand out. I lifted myself up directly into his body. He
pulled me close with his free hand, putting his large hand in my
favorite spot--the cleavage of my buttocks. I groaned, my arm
reached up to his neck and I ran my fingers in his thick, wavy
hair. He nuzzled my face, sought my mouth, and kissed my lips so
sweetly. He parted my mouth and sought my tongue with his, playing
a game of tag with my tongue. He sucked on my bottom lip. I felt
little flutters in my groin and the desire for him skyrocketed. I
felt the stirrings in my pelvis and the wetness that was building
as I rose on my toes to kiss him deeply. Letting go of my hand he
brought his hand to my buttock and cupped me hard. I felt his chest
and arms strain to pick me up, and hard erection pressed into my
mound. Feeling breathless and dizzy with desire, I pulled my mouth
away.
    “ We should eat. I’m
hungry. I don’t want the salmon to get dry.” I said. He took a
moment, holding me close to his body. He inhaled
