licked his lips wetting them, “Um” he laughed, “you smell like cotton candy, I like that Baby”
Emily knew that this had angered Ed even more, but she didn’t care, she did love Billy and she wasn’t going to be told she couldn’t see him. That was her decision to make, and no one else’s.
“Get a room” Ed said, Emily and Billy laughed. “Let’s go get a burger Baby” Billy said.
“A burger and fries, sure Billy” Emily couldn’t remember laughing so much before these past few days.
They drove a little ways to a diner, Billy smiled at Emily and held her hand as they walked in, and set at a table near the front. She felt famished, they all where. “may I take your order please the waitress ask, three orders of your burger baskets please, I want coke, what about you two, Billy looked around the table and ask. “Sure” Emily and Ed both answered. “Oh and Ice cream please” Billy told the waitress. They all laughed. After a day of shine and pot, Emily felt giddy and she knew she was high. They talked for a while, and the waitress brought the food, “Thank you” Emily told the waitress. They ate and talked then Ed tried to talk with them seriously about them seeing each other, Emily picked up a French fries and tossed it at Ed. They all laughed food fight started.
“Stop it guys” Ed said his hands in front of his face, but he couldn’t help but laugh, Emily thought.
“Come on Ed lighten up” Billy laughed as they finished their meal. Emily noticed Billy’s eyes glancing around the restaurant, the waitress walked through the swinging doors to what Emily suspected to be the kitchen.
“Let’s go guys” Billy suddenly laughed and whispered in Emily’s ear, “hurry were not paying.”
“Shit Billy” She said, feeling a bit of fright, but laughed, as they rushed to the truck. Billy slinging the door open as they all crawled through the driver’s door. Billy quickly through the keys in the ignition and started the truck.
“What the hell Billy” Ed yelled at him as Billy floored it out of the parking lot and down the road.
“Whoo, hoo” they all shouted looking back to make sure they weren’t being followed.
Emily had never had so much fun, the fear and passion mixed together, fueled her soul, with excitement. Excitement like she had never felt before. “I love you Billy” she shouted and kissed him, as they raced down the road at high speeds. The windows were down and she loved the air on her face. She pulled her hair out of the rubber band and let her hair blow around her in the wind. Ed lit another joint as Emily passed the jar of shine to Billy, she let her hand gently touch his as he took the jar. A thrill went through her body. Ed passed the joint to her and she watched as his eyes, glanced at Billy’s hand as he massaged her leg, then he quickly looked back out the window.
Get over it Ed she thought to herself, I love Billy.

    CHAPTER TEN
    Wed 13th June

Oh God I wish he would quit yelling at me, Emily was in big trouble, grounded, she felt like her dad had been yelling at her for hours. Breakfast that morning had been hell, not only had she been yelled at the night before, which was bad enough, but this morning, her brothers had glared at her, her Mom had glared at and her Dad’s yelling wouldn’t stop. Her head hurt and all she wanted to do was lay down. She wanted to shout at them shut up, shut up, shut up but she knew that would only make things worse so she just shouted it in her head. That wasn’t working either though and she just continued to get angrier and angrier.
“I don’t know what’s got into you” Jack yelled “Taking off like that and staying gone, where did you go Emily?” She held her breath, holding back the anger, not answering him. She wanted to shout at him tell him she would go where she wanted and do what she wanted, but knew better. Someday though, someday I will leave.
