face.
“What’s wrong with Strawberry?” Knuckles asked.
“Fucking childhood bullies is what. Fucking sick of them.”
“Seriously? Your kid is getting bullied? How the fuck does that work?” From what Knuckles knew, none of them had ever gotten bullied throughout high school. In fact, even Matthew had been left alone, and he’d gone through many years a scrawny kid.
“None of the kids believe her that her father’s part of the Trojans. They upset her because of her name, and shit. Kid stuff.”
“I’d say go and pick her up, take a few of the guys with you. No one bullies Strawberry and gets away with it.”
“I’m not about to scare the shit out of a bunch of kids.”
“I’m not saying we get out and threaten them. I think a show of force, let them know who Strawberry comes from. It’s a visual thing.”
    “She’s nearly eight years old.”
“They’re only going to get bigger. Nip it in the bud now. Don’t let it go crazy. Anyway, I’ve got a lunch to enjoy.” He wrapped his arm around Beth, and lifted her up. “Sorry we can’t stay to chat.”
    “Bye, Leanna, we’ll talk soon.”
    ****
“I can’t believe you did that,” Beth said, handing him his meal, which she’d gotten from the diner.
“What? If I left you talking with Leanna, I wouldn’t have been able to see you.”
Beth had been worried that it was a dumb ass idea to bring him food. Now, she was really pleased that she had. “Brass wants to screw that woman in the shop?”
“Yeah. She’s an entitled princess, and I’m having to fix her car.”
“Do you like working with cars?”
“It’s something I’ve always been able to do. I love being part of the club, and I’ve got jobs to do there as well.”
She took out the plastic fork for her chicken Cobb salad, and took a bite, staring at Knuckles. He was loving the burger she got him, with extra bacon.
“I heard you guys were going on another run?” she asked. Maria had called her up, and they’d gotten talking, her friend letting it slip that Daisy was leaving in a few weeks.
“Yeah, one next week, and one at the end of this week. It has been brought forward. I’ll be in touch constantly.”
    “Is it dangerous?”
Knuckles paused, staring at her. “Do you trust me?”
    “Yes.”
“Then trust me when I say to you that I will make it back to you.”
She licked her lips. “I can’t stop thinking about our night together.”
“Me neither, babe. I’m sorry I haven’t been around. With the ride coming forward, I’ve had to check over the bikes. Raoul has been helping me. Time has gotten away.”
She touched his arm. “I’m not complaining, not really. It’s just, I worry about you, Knuckles. I do. This is going to be the first time that a ride like this is going to mean anything to me, and I find that a little scary. Will you be coming over tonight?”
“Yeah, I will. How about I pick you up from work?”
She shook her head. “I could cook us some dinner, if you’d like. My treat.” She could also put that sheer negligee to good use and tempt him with something a little more.
“Okay. When I’m done here, I’ve got to head back to the clubhouse, and then I’ll be with you. What do you think?” Knuckles asked.
    “I love it.”
Glancing behind her, she saw they were in a secluded part of the park. No one could see them. Putting her carton onto the ground, she moved up his body, straddling his legs.
“Now, what do I owe the pleasure of this, baby?”
“This is letting you know that I miss you.” She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his. Beth kissed down his neck, to his ear. “I’ve been touching myself the past couple of days, missing you. I miss you so much, Knuckles.”
    “Fuck. Have you come?”
“Sometimes. I’m not as good as your wicked tongue. I think about you, Knuckles.”
He wrapped his burger up and sank his fingers into her hair, wrapping the length around his knuckles. She couldn’t help
