think of a lot of things, but she wanted to see if he was still the domineering Master. “I’m sure we could find something more interesting to discuss than what I’ve been up to the last nine years.”
“We could,” he whispered in her ear, before nipping at the lobe. “But I want to know. You will tell me and tell me now, my little subbie.”
A thrill of excitement shot up her spine. She hadn’t been called subbie in nine long years. “Where do you want me to start, Master Max?” The title flowed without thought.
“Tell me about college after I left.”

Max watched Grace's face. He couldn't believe she was still available. Were the men in Jennings blind? Probably . Not that he minded. It meant he could make up to her all the years they lost.
Grace told him about how she concentrated on her studies after he left for Louisiana State University on a football scholarship in her sophomore year of college. He’d hated leaving her, but football had been too big of a lure. She’d gotten a bachelor degree in English then gone for a masters in teaching. She’d come home to Jennings to teach high school, where she’d been ever since.
She hadn’t told him anything about her sex life. “And what about the men in your life?”
Her voice grew soft as she said, “There’s been a few here and there.”
“Tell me about the last man in your life.” Had she been with another Dominant? He suspected not.
“Can I just say he was an ass?”
“What did he do?” Max kept his voice level, but inside his temper simmered.
“Let’s see, we decided to take a week-long vacation together. It started on day one when he looked at every woman on the beach but me. Then on day two, he started flirting with them. It culminated with me finding him in bed with some beach bimbo.”
Who the hell was this idiot? Max’s fingers curled into a fist. Once he found out, he’d beat the crap out of the guy for treating Grace like that then thank him for being such an ass and leaving the way open for Max.
Grace deserved better. She deserved a man who would be committed to her, who wouldn't look at other women, who would only see her, and who could take care of her needs. Oh yes, he knew she had needs. He still remembered their last weekend together before they went their own ways. They'd only made it out of bed to eat and shower. Would Grace be interested in being his sub now?
“But,” she continued. “ There’s been n o one like you, Master Max.” Her voice was soft and seductive.
Oh yes, she was still interested. “That’s nice to hear.” He smiled when the waitress set their meal down then told her there wasn’t anything else they needed. “Let’s eat.”
Max gave Grace a little bit of space. Already his cock was hard and pulsing, not only from being around her intoxicating person, but from her use of the title Master Max. He wanted Grace, his Gracie. But there was something else, a part of him was grinning with satisfaction that she’d never found a man to take his place, and yet another was frowning , worried that she hadn’t had good sex in the last nine years. Had he spoiled her for any other relationship? He hadn't intended for that to happen.
They were silent as they ate, but Grace picked at her food. “Eat up, sweetheart. You’re going to need your strength.”
“Am I?” She peeked at him from beneath her lashes.
Oh the little minx. His cock jumped. When he leaned over, his lips brushed against her ear. “You’re treading on dangerous ground, my Gracie. Are you daring me to take you to my place, tie you up and tease you all night long?”
“Yes. Please.” Her voice was breathless.
His fork slipped from his hand. She’d grown bolder over the years. While she would speak her mind, debating all sorts of subjects with him, the Gracie he remembered had had a difficult time expressing her desires. But now… he looked around for the waitress and then waved her over.
“Can we have some to-go boxes
